Tips To Getting T-stat Housing To Seal?

I've used just RTV, just a gasket, a cutout off a 12 pack of Coke (seriously) and have had good luck getting all of them to seal. If you use any kind of gasket, use RTV on both sides. I like to use a 1/32-1/16 thick layer on both sides. Make sure you tighten each bolt down evenly.

    Excessive Heat

I've driven cars where the trans tunnel would almost burn your leg, but my car even with long tubes and no carpet wasn't any hotter than average.

10.5 Rims Worth The Hassle And Work?

I will say not all cars seem to be built equally. I've rolled my lips and have factory length axles/rear end, but my tires always rub. I'm running 16 inch ARE's with I believe 255/50s on back. I supposed offset/back spacing have a lot to do with it, but these are pretty typical rims for a Mustang.

This Looks Like It'd Be A Fun Ride.

Idk man, there are a LOT of "sports" that are scored with a heavy emphasis on style, like...the Olympics for example. Form and grace are a part of just about every sport. If curling can be an olympic sport, then I see no reason why drifting can't just be "a sport"

All valid points, but it's like comparing competitive bass fishing to recreational bass fishing. The end result is you're catching fish. The end result here is you're drifting. You're focusing on why instead of the technique.

    Hello Guys I'm Back

Yep. Pretty dead for the most part. Still plenty of "what mufflers should I buy" type threads though.

This Looks Like It'd Be A Fun Ride.

In reality, if you're road racing and you're pushing your car to its limits, you're going to be doing a certain amount of drifting because you'll eventually pass the limits of grip. If you're only driving to the max capability of grip, you're not going as fast as you could be. Push it too far...

Hello Again Stangnet.....i Can't Give Up This Hobby...i Tried

I've already decided that if my stroker takes a dump on me, I'm throwing a junkyard 302 in it and a DIY turbo kit, and if I blow up the 302 then oh well I'll find another explorer and swap a new one in. Cheaper and less depressing when it blows up lol.

Ashamed At What I Saw At The Mall Today

I kinda like those Celicas too. I remember reading about a custom AWD turbo version when that body style first came out, it was pretty BA.

Has Anyone Ever Used Grade 5 Bolts As Head Bolts. Any Success?

I have parts store replacements on mine right now and one random 1/2 grade 8 because the prick I bought my block from failed to mention that one of the head bolts was stripped out from the block so I had to drill and tap it a size larger. I haven't had any issues yet.

Why Can't I Stand F&f Movies - Is It Just Me?

I think some of you guys take life way too seriously. I've come to accept that Hollywood doesn't understand car physics, and I actually enjoy looking for their mistakes. I haven't seen all of this franchise but I didn't really HATE the ones I saw. There are far better car movies, but they're not...

    Carpet/dash Question

Well, I got mine so far as to pull it out of the box...then laziness struck. If it makes ya feel better, I did read some reviews over on 4eyedpride and those guys said that the cheaper carpet fit way better than the expensive stuff.

    Progress Thread Who Remembers These?

It's been done...doesn't work near as good. The scoop doesn't stick up enough to really "scoop" air. There was a guy a while back on the carbdford.com site who did a bunch of strip testing with the stock duel snorkel breather, and from those tests pretty much nothing bested the factory setup...

You mean the valance scoops? If so then it has to do with the low pressure area right behind the radiator making it easier to suck in air.
