    yes, all factory 2.3T had forged internals, to handle the strain, and save then engine if you lean out at any kind of boost.

    You could technically put the turbo kit on a N/A engine, but the internals aren't going to be up to the job. An engine that only has 88 hp isn't likely to have forged pistons and rods, both of which are highly recomended if you plan to get farther than one 1320. Hope any of that helps.

    Thank you for that input. I have found an alternative to combine both the speed of a 5L and the gas milage of a 2.3L. I think that im going to begin a 2.3L turbo project, with my friend's black 2.3 hatch with T5.

    I am looking at buying a fox body, they're mostly cheap, which is good for a 17 year old, and they look cool. I want a car that i can use practically as a daily driver, and i thought that a 4 cylinder might be a good idea, im also looking at a 5.0, but the 2.3 seems more parctical as far as gas...
