    IIRC, the 2100 series carb uses the same choke parts as the 4100 4-barrel. The manual-choke 4100 carbs are not all that common, but one of the specialty shops (Pony Carburetors?) might have the manual choke linkage. Try looking in Tony D. Branda's catalog, too.

    The "620" coils are not necessary to the "drop". Just make sure that your current springs are not sagging (do a search for "ride height"). Of course, you're tearing everything apart anyway, so it's a time and effort saver if you take care of all the parts in that assembly at the same time...

    The *structural* part - yes, that's what is usually missing in U.S. vehicle inspections, at least where floorpan rust is conserned. Let us give thanks, because those lax inspections have permitted many of our cars to survive long enough to be properly repaired.

    Try examining the hood/firewall seal and the trunk weatherstrip. Also, make sure your PVC system is functioning. Crankcase fumes could be getting past the rear of the hood and into the cowl vent. Exhaust fumes also tend to swirl around the rear of the car (it's especially bad with fastbacks)...

    Are you talking about rear drum brakes? If so, and if you've broken off an EZ-Out in each side, go ahead and buy new wheel cylinders when you buy the replacement soft line. You'll save yourself a lot of aggravation, and wheel cylinders are fairly inexpensive.

    Painless Wiring sells an H4 Halogen headlamp harness, too. It plugs into one of the headlamp sockets on the factory harness. It's not Mustang-specific, but it may as well be - works great.

    Yes, a 3G alternator can be used in a '66. Have a look: There are also upgrade/rebuild kits available for your 1G alternator, too, which can bump output to 90 or 100 amps.

    If the rust is localized as you describe, I'd cut out the rusted portion and weld in an appropriate patch. The more of the original floor that you can leave, the better (trust me).
