Can someone help? Need to know how brake pedal ass'y goes together

I will look at mine tonight for you and see if I can snap a pic or two. I remember the rod that comes out of the booster goes to the left of the pedal arm. The Brake light switch goes over the end of the booster rod pointing straight off the end. A pin goes through the pedal arm from the...

my worked 5.0 wont idle right.

From what I understand, the EGR needs to be connected unless you have a EGR bypass hooked up to trick the computer into thinking the EGR is working. Also, is there vaccum on the hose or the port of the intake that is disconnected? When you say, foot on the gas, are you just keeping the idle up...

    302 MOTOR HELP

True, but he said no PS and no AC, so even with a serpentine belt, the only way to route the belt around the Crank, Alt, and the WP, it will make the WP rotate clockwise. That was my point. Reverse or counterclockwise rotation would be true if he were going to run PS and/or AC, since the only...

    302 MOTOR HELP

If it is a late model 302, by saying 'reverse rotation', I hope you are meaning reverse from stock. The late model 302 rotates clockwise and he will need a timing cover and matching water pump for clockwise rotation (stock WP is counter clockwise).

Installing E-Fan, Where do I get a thermostatically controlled on/off switch

I used a DER-16749, its good for dual fans up to 25A. Comes with a temp sensor and relay and it's turn-on is adjustible from 150-240 F. It had to be one of the easiest wiring installs I have had to do, really straight forward.

Dang, I look like an idiot... I totally misunderstood what he was asking... I guess that's what I get for reading this stuff so late..

Besides using a scan tool to clear them, disconnecting the battery will do it. If it is a chronic problem, the code will pop back up.

Help Please - 03 Radiator Fan

That is the same part you'll get at AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts... just there it will cost you $150 or if all the plastics are OK and you just need the fan motor, you can get that for about $90, but you'll have to remove the old motor and put the new on in. I would deal with a local parts...

design new way to replace heater core

Whew... I did one in my 79 a loooong time ago, does that count? It was about 3 hours of cursing and prying so I didn't have to remove the dash. In hind sight, I should have removed the dash, that is what I did in my 96 and it was relatively easy.

    Mustang Running like Crap!!!

What kind of plugs did you put in? If they are platinum, swap them outfor some standard copper plugs and try that.

    switched 12v

I used the Derale adjustable ran controller on my dual electric setup. The part number is DER-16749 and I bought it at Late Model Restoration, but you may be able to find it at a better price somewhere else. It comes with a temp sensor that I ended up putting in the heater supply hose. Google...

Bought a 5L, have some questions.

Your describing a dual sump oil pan. You need to drain the oil from both plugs since the oil that gets caught in the front sump cannot reach the back sump when draining. I have the same results with my stock fox alternator as yours. ~12 VDC at idle and ~14 VDC when driving. I just put a...

    FUEL MILEAGE PROBLEMS---HELP!!!

LOL, gas leak would do it.... What kind of plugs do you have in there? I hope they are not bosch, those plugs are expensive and are crap plugs. I tried to use them in my 96 and they made that car run like a 2 legged dog. Switched to motorcraft and cured the problem.

    check engine light/ brakes scrape

I would go with a chilton manual... the haynes manuals leave some things out... yeah it covers all the major things, but it is not as detailed as I would like it to be.

    97 3.8 Ignition Question

Replacing the steering column would probably be easier and it is fairly easy to get out. I removed the entire dash assembly from my 96 to change the heater core, and it was a piece of cake (relative cake that is). Believe it or not, the Ford dealerships do still carry parts for nick knacks...

    No fuel pressure, 2000 3.8

It appears as if the wire coming into the inertia switch will be Dark Green/Yellow ( this has two branches and comes from both the CCRM and PCM to the inertia switch) and coming out of the inertia switch to the fuel pump is Brown/Pink.

    98 Mustang 3.8L Sound

Hard to diagnose these 'unknown' issues on a message board. What kind of smells, like electrical burning, oil burning, antifreeze,etc..? MustangLX-5.0 is right, when the clutch is released, you may hear or feel something, even in neutral. Any more details would really be helpful.
