    I've never seen an SL one. I usually see stuff like 3L08 or 3L55 where the single L means limited slip. Yours shouldn't be 3.55s because they didn't offer them for the '87. Pretty sure all that was offered were 2.73's, 3.08's, and 3.27's IIRC.

    302's don't have any bottom end lol. Maybe in a car it feels that way, but in anything other than a fox body the 5.0 has very lack luster torque. 4 inch bore and 3 inch stroke is not a recipe for low end.

    It's amazing at the kind of stuff you can get away with in the automotive field lol. Watch his engine run flawlessly and never have a problem, whereas if I did something similar, I'd have a chewed up set of heads and pistons in the first 20 seconds.
