engine compartment measurements 1969 - help?

I would suggest contacting restoration shops. I would measure mine for you but I have no idea if mine is still close to spec. I'm sure mine has moved some over the past 40 years. I will be installing a MII type IFS sometime in the future before I put it on the road. I was planning at that point...

Post pics of mustang II front ends

S&W Racecars extreme duty MII style set up. http://www.swracecars.com/Files/pdf/CATpg25.pdf They're primarily drag stuff but this kit looks beefy enough for some serious street/track duty. I downloaded the assembly manual and read through it and think its durable enough.

Post pics of mustang II front ends

I think most MII kits have made improvements over the original MII set up. Having said that, there are features of the Heidts and Rod & Custom kits I don't like. Not all MII kits are created equal. Personally I prefer my control arms anchored in double shear where the car will be used in any...

    1969coupe front clip on 1969 mach 1?

X2 ALL 69/70 fastback glass is unique to the fastback body because the roof geometry is different including "A" pillar angle. Just wanted to make sure the OP was aware of it.

1965 mustang with a 289...where does the negative battery cable go?

What 2+2gt said but also make sure you have a good ground from engine to firewall (or frame/body).

    Header options: 69 Mach 1, 351w, fmx

When I used to have a 351w in mine w/man steering, I had Heddman headers. Any of the header manufacturers should have something that works.

    where are the themes?

General feedback It takes at least twice as long for pages to load Sweet blue is too light, dark sweet blue is better. Any other options coming? Can the main field be widened ~25% overall?

    Skinny on the 351

The two are visably different when looking under the hood. Fuel pump mounting: 351W = 2 bolts in horizontal 351C = 2 bolts in vertical Thermostat 351W = housing attaches horizontally to intake manifold 351C = housing attaches vertically to top of timing housing cast into block Rocker...

Thanks for moving this thread for me :nice: I'm hoping the same, why I posted both links. It'd be a real shame.

Stumbled onto 302 79 pacecar on ebay

I used to have a 2.3 version with a 302 transplant as a DD through the 90s but I'm focussed on my 69 now. My old car is a couple miles up the road now 2 owners later and sporting a flat black paint job.

Stumbled onto 302 79 pacecar on ebay

I meant to put this in the talk section. Yeah, I noticed it had the later qtr glass but the rest looks correct though there's not enough pics really. It has the correct identifier in the VIN (48).

If anyone is interested, I stumbled acrossed this on ebay. It looks to be pretty complete though not much time left on the auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979-...1%7C240%3A1318 The same seller has a 2.3 version for sale also...

    Tank armor question

My SS fuel tank I designed and is to be made from 16ga. 201 stainless. It is currently in pieces as I haven't welded it together yet. I will put foam in it. I picked up a fill plate from ebay to mark the holes. It's same width & length as a stock tank but a little taller.

Newbie needs advice on 70 351C exhaust

:nice: I have never understood the point of building a nice car and not driving it. I intend to drive mine as much as possible when its done. Do a search on this forum, there was a thread posted a few years ago about a 351C build. There was a lot of discussion, a lot of it on exhaust and IIRC...

Newbie needs advice on 70 351C exhaust

I think you might be confused with oxygen sensors which are upstream of catalytic converters and primarily read oxygen content in the exhaust gases and sends a signal in the form of a voltage variation to the control module to adjust fuel mixture. Catalytic converters were used long before fuel...

    Fastback - Coupe Frame Swap?

Since these cars are of unibody construction you didn't just bend the "frame". The front frame rails are spot welded to the floor pan, firewall, inner fenders, shock towers & radiator support. The aftermarket makes replacement pieces for almost everything on the 65 - 66 cars. However if you...

Just how safe can you feasibly get a first generation Mustang to be?

Billy, Nothing personal, but your brother sounds a little anal about safety. If you're a good driver, and I assume you are, he should have no problem with what you drive. He should get over himself. Having said that I agree with Hack about safety. Bnickel has some good points too. When my kids...
