    Low boost

If you were getting belt slippage there would be a large buildup of rubber under the belt guard (if still installed) or on the underside of the hood directly in line with the upper pulley if guard is not installed. U.M.

    Low boost

Yup. The lobes inside the blower case are machined to very tight tolerences and over time can wear and reduce boost. You may want to look into sending your blower off to Stiegemeier for a refresh. They'll make it like brand new again. StiegeSplash U.M.

    X-pipe fitment

I went with a Magnaflow myself and it fit perfectly. I haven't heard of any regular fitment issues with any of the major name-brand mid-pipes though. U.M.

I believe the ECU's are in fact the same. U.M.

    Service engine light issue

I believe there are 4 total when stock. By installing an O/R mid-pipe you eliminate the post-cat O2 sensors hence the need for the MIL's. The front O2's are still there and they are responsible for measuring whether your engine is running lean or rich. U.M.

    Service engine light issue

You haven't been putting any additives (like octane booster) in the gas have you? You may have a bad O2 sensor. U.M.

How much could I get for my 98 cobra

It's a buyers market currently so you being a seller are at a disadvantage. You'll need to find just the right individual to unload the car on if you want to get anywhere near what you have invested. U.M.

    1999 Cobra sunroof?

I'm pretty sure the last Cobra's made with a fatory sunroof were the early 80's cars. No SN95's with sunroofs as far as I know. U.M.

what oil should i use..what's best?

5W = The 5 represents the viscosity of the oil when cold, hence the "W" after the number which represents "Winter". Depending on where you live a 5W may be overkill. I run a 10W in all my cars here in Alabama because we very rarely see temps anywhere near freezing so having an oil that thin is...

    Broken cam gear

I'm sure the boost bypass solenoid could fail, but most of the time they are just in need of adjustment. However this problem is usually cvase of reduced boost, not a complete loss of boost. Is it possible you've got the boost bypass lines crossed and the bypass is being held open? U.M.

    Broken cam gear

I totally agree, but he may not have the funds to cover the cost. Take his comments with a grain of salt and then move on. You're lucky they agreed to help you at all really. Now make sure you never use that shop again! Can you explain how the head shop repaired bent valves? Or were they...

    Blew Diff seal 03 Cobra

Oh I do not doubt there's a measurable difference! Your .02 tenths proves it. I just don't see the value in it for a street driven Cobra. The OP on this thread has over 200,000 miles on his car currently... I'd say it's a daily driver and not a track car. U.M.

    Blew Diff seal 03 Cobra

Your ass meter is better than mine if you can feel a noticeable difference between 3.55's and 3.73's! What are we taking about here... 0.05 % difference??? Why even bother? U.M.

How strong is an 03 engine?

800HP on the stock pistons? It may make a few dyno runs at that level, but in real world driving/racing they won't last, especially when you consider the stock PTW clearence Ford used when assembling this car. These pistons expand at a rate faster than the iron block. Many, many, many 03/04 cars...

    Blew Diff seal 03 Cobra

Replacing the stock 3.55's with 3.73's doesn't make a whole lot of sense on the 03/04's really because the difference is so small. Plus the 03/04's have so much torque as it is they blow the rear tires off even under moderate acceleration with just the stock 3.55's. Unless you're a full time...
