    It has to be total. If it was supposed to be between each flexing coil, I'd be having serious issues.

    Just fyi when you go to get the valve spring compressor, you'll need the overhead style. Like the one here: http://imageserver.isnweb.com/KDT3271.jpg Autozone sells them for less than $15. Not sure, but I think the only one they rent is the style that would need the heads off of the car. Also...

    Coil bind is when the springs are being pushed past their limit and the individual coils are coming into contact with each other. My stock spring were spray marked (green on intake, red and orange on exhaust) so if yours have those they're probably stock. Not sure if all of them were done like...

    Head bolts leaking coolant!!!!

    Are you sure you can just pull them off? I'm not sure at all, but I know it only took one loose bolt on my intake mani to make it leak... and retorquing it wouldn't help much.

    If you're gonna stick with those heads for a while, get some 1.7s. Proform sells a pedestal mount kit for like $170 through Summit, so it's not that much of a loss if you decide to go stud later on... since you're just barely putting these ported 7s on there, I say go for it.

    Random thought... take a look at your motor/trans mounts. When my stock type ones were torn, it made really weird clunking noises all the time. Might as well take a look for fun :nice: Good luck!

    Well if you've got 10ATDC and 10 BTDC, 0 should just be right in the middle of the two... Are you sure that it reads 10 and not |0 =) Dunno, might happen. In any case, just get a measurement of the 20B to the 30B and measure that much back off of the 10B mark.

    Just put some assembly lube on there if you're worried. It dissolves in engine oil.
