    How do I know if a 9" is 28 or 31 splines?

    31 spline axle ID Pull the hub cap/center cap off the wheel. Look at the center opening of the wheel at the axle. A 31 spline axle will have two holes about 1/4 inch in diameter. A 28 spline axle has what looks like a hollowed out area at the end of the axle but no holes.

    New Boss 302 There is no going back!! As an owner of a 1970 BOSS 429 and BOSS 302 (both GRABBER ORANGE) I would like to see the new BOSS if they build one, based on the double overhead cam mod motor - bumped up to 5 liters. Just my opinion. Ed

    70 Mustang stuff No problem finding parts for a 70 Mustang unless your looking for Shelby, BOSS 302 or 429 unique parts.
