Need some help tracking down a unique brake fitting.

I did the same thing this weekend on my 94GT, except I put a linelock where the ABS used to sit. Anyway, you can remove the ABS without buying a bunch of new lines. To do the job neatly, you do have to be able to double flare though so you can replace the fittings with 3/16 and avoid the...

    building a 95 5.0

Depending on your skill level, much of the following can be done with that budget, but you'll have to get some used parts. Better heads can be found used. Cam such as the one in my profile is nice on the street, and is computer friendly for our 94-95 ECM. PM me if you are interested, I...

What type of cam should I use

I ran a pair of Flowmaster 40 Series cams for awhile, but Magnaflow and a few other brands make a good sound as well. :D I'm only half kidding. If you are pleased with the way your car runs now, tweak the exhaust and get your desired cam sound trouble free.

    T5 Problems

This afternoon I was looking to spend $300 for a bearing and synchro kit. Had no idea the tranny was torched. Not sure what I am going to end up sdoing. I do know I am going to be careful so I don't drop $500 on something that isn't really much better than what I have right now. I am...

    T5 Problems

Took mine apart today but it has too many problems to repair it. What are the chance i will find a good used one? Mine needs a main shaft, counter shaft and much more so it just isn't worth the cost to repair.

If you've ever installed the wrong flywheel, come in!

Years ago I accidently used a 50 oz balance when a 28oz was required. Thought my windshield was going to pop out when I revved it much past 3000 rpms. :p

    Made Some Changes

Hey Grady, what day is it?:D

    edelbrock intake manifold

No, that isn't necessarily so. A single bad intake valve can cause a bouncing needle. A large vacuum leak, like a brake booster hose can cause a fairly steady, but low vacuum reading.

    roush 5.0 intake

The HP improvements being touted in the ad sound ridiculously optimistic to me, but it's a winner in the looks department for sure.

best traction setup for the street/strip. what do you run?

That's gonna depend on the wheels which are being compared. I would do a search on the Drag Racing threads, Stangnet and Corral. You'll see a variety of different numbers posted. IMO, you can count on a tenth or two improvement in ET for significantly lighter wheels. Like going from an 18"...

Doing a speech on why domestic are superior to imports

Do you have any clue how many import brand names (like Honda) are manufactured in America, by American labor? Me neither, but it's a huge number of autos/jobs.

What is a good tow rig?

Unfortunately, my 4.9 has a holeshot like an Olds 350 diesel too. Acceleration is pathetic. :( A 4.9 will lug down low like nothing else will though. It's a solid engine, that will sometimes last 300K.

What is a good tow rig?

I've been towing stuff with my 95 F150 with 300 I-6 since it was new. 300 will pull about as well as a 302, if not better. 302 is a fine Mustang motor, but outside it's design purpose in a 4800# truck pulling a trailer. You won't win any races with either motor in a towing situation 351W is...

    Thanks Don/Rob@Losataracing

"Over the years I've been looking at dyno results on these boards, the results are usually lower when someone uses a Mustang dyno." You are correct Grady, I did have it backwards.

    Thanks Don/Rob@Losataracing

Then is it your understanding a Mustang Dyno may not necessarily give a smaller HP/TQ reading than a Dynojet? If so, then there goes some more of that Internet Myth. :)

    Thanks Don/Rob@Losataracing

Agreed. I am not familiar with the numerical "corrections". I recall reading a particular % loss to the wheels for an AODE. I'm not familiar with Mustang vs Dynojet correction % though. I know you can't get a perfect number this way, but was curious if we are talking about 290HP, or 325HP...

    Thanks Don/Rob@Losataracing

I'm anxious for the analysis. Accounting for both an Auto AND a Mustang Dyno seems to equal well above 300HP. Am I thinking correctly? We have to add two estimated corrections back to the numbers right? To get an apples for apples comparison to a Dynojet/Manual chart?

    Thanks Don/Rob@Losataracing

So where's the "deep thought" analysis Grady? You think Will's got all day to wait on you? :rlaugh: Nice numbers Will.......................... for a Trickflow car. :D Says the guy with a box of uninstalled speed parts and a near stock ride. J/K :)

Need help getting off tie-rod ends

A little off topic, but that is actually sage advice whenever swinging a hammer anywhere near a threaded stud. Always thread the nuts on. Nothing will slow a project down like repairing threads you just whacked with a hammer. :(
