I just bought a 2012 mustang GT premium

Getting a good deal is only half the battle if you finance the car. Say you have an excellent credit rating (800+) and they quote you a rate at the dealership that's even better than a Credit Union, they can do even better. Of course they ask you what you want your monthly payment to be, but...

Tinted windows and automatic window ???

Ditto on the heat gun. I've never heard of using a torch, but all they need to do is seal the edges and you're good to go. Just don't roll them down for 3 days.

    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

Final Chapter on this Mod Bottom line is: My Pypes Axle back doesn't fit correctly. I ended up taking off the mid-pipes (which were stock ford that has been installed on Mustangs since 2005) and heating and expanding them to accept the violators. Not a big deal for a good muffler shop or a...

    2008 Black vs Green Bullitt

It depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to drive it, get the color you are most comfortable with. If you want to store it and get the best resale value then get the one with the lesser production number. It would be a tough decision for me to. I love the Green Bullitts...

    A couple questions

+1 on the clear coat. You'll need to fix or have that fixed or else it'll continue to flake off. Down here in NC clearcoat and paint burns right off. I've never had an 05 and don't claim to be an expert, but I've never seen a car that didn't have some kind of rubber pedal cover. If yours...

    mmr intake on 07 GT350

Actually there was a 2007 GT350. I think it was similar to the Shelby GT package or the GT350-H (Hertz). Don't really know exactly. I would be concerned that the car came modifed but didn't come with a tuner. Most CAIs require a tune or they will throw codes. My suggestion: buy a tuner...

    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

One of the main reasons I bought a bolt on axle back kit was so that I could change it later on, or put the factory exhaust back on. Welding them on would destroy the factory pipes and cause me more aggravation and money. Anybody install FRPP axle backs on a 2008 GT/CS? Seems like they...

    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

I haven't owned the car since it was new but everything was bone stock when I got it except for new tires. The exhaust is definately stock Ford. I agree it's going to be hard to find an axle back that fits. Maybe the Ford Racing products?

    Car finally arrived....

That is a beautiful car.!! Please tell us you have garages in your apartment complex. It's a shame to let something that nice sit in a parking lot.

    New '05 GT owner here!

Very nice car and only 51 thousand miles. You will enjoy the S-197 chassis. They ride nice and a million bolt-ons are available.

    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

Got the new set as promised but it's the same deal. The Pypes pipe fit a standard 2.5 inch pipe very well but the stock Mustang pipes seem to be undersized, 2.458 to be exact. Even with 2 slits and the clamp bottomed out tight with an impact gun the pipe still comes off. I'm so frustrated...

    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

Talked with Brandon at Pypes about the fit. Very nice customer support. They are sending me a new set of Violators. I'll let you all know what happens.

Factory Set Restriction On TB Plate Under 3k RPM??!!

+2 on drive-by-wire on 2005 and newer What could SCT possibly be liable for by selling you a tuner? As far as I'm concerned the tuner (hardware, not tunes) business is a racket.

    Quick AC question

I had a similar problem with my F150. When I went up a hill (low vacuum) it seemd that the blower quit working because you couldn't feel cold air anymore. Turns out it was a vacuum problem with the HVAC dampers and by default, meaning no vacuum, all the air would come out the defroster ducts...

    is 29,000 miles too many?

I don't know what area you're in but that sound a little high for an 07, even with a high dollar mod (blower). He said it has a low boost and a tune right now, hard to tell what it had over the past 4 years because it sounds like he made it a drag car from day 1 with 4:10s and a stall...

    shaker 500 or shaker 1000

I have the 500 in my Mustang and it's a pretty good stock system. It'll boom half decent, sounds good on road trips, but nothing to brag about. A friend of mine had the 1000 in his 05 and he claimed it would Boom Boom. According to a lot of online posts the only difference is the trunk...

    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

It wasn't the spacer in the clamp, it was going down in the saddles of the spacer just fine. The problem is the sloppy fit of the pipes. They are 1/8 inch larger that the stock Ford pipes and can't compress enough to even hold themselves on let alone create a leak free joint. As you can see...
