    4v cobra conversion.. WHAT WILL I NEED?

    You probably need to explain how much horsepower you are shooting for. If you are using a stock 4v block, they you aren't going much above 450rwhp anyway. The 2v can hit that without forged internals. Neither the 2 or 4v are going much above that safely without forged internals. Although the...

    Thinking About Ford Raceing Shorty Headers M9430-s197

    I don't have experience with these. I do know that if you aren't going to add a blower down the road, shorty's don't have a lot of value other than a few horsepower and saving some weight.

    Brembo brakes worth it?

    I have the Brembo's on my 2000GT and the difference was night and day, even on the track. Keep in mind these are similiar to the brakes on the 2000GT and that bad boy was built to race.

    Spring Questions

    I haven't used either of those products but the general rule is to try to stay with one manufacturer when you start playing with the suspension. I didn't and I spent a lot of track time and wasting money getting the end results that I did. If you mismatch them too far, it could make for a...

    4v cobra conversion.. WHAT WILL I NEED?

    You need to explain why you need to do this. My car hit 643rwhp at 6000 rpms and 9 degrees of timing and we aren't even close to completing the tune. With the forged components and cams is set up to go to 7000. We are guessing it's going to hit 600rwhp on pump gas and 750 or more on 109...

    return-style fuel system?

    Nowhere near that. Figure 2 Walbro pumps, filter from Aeromotive, and then a couple of Y-connectors and lots of hoses. I also have a 22 Gallon Fuel Cell in the back too.

    return-style fuel system?

    I went the return system route. Not sure if it was the best idea since it took longer to tune but I now have dual Walbro 255's feeding 650rwhp and we are going higher. I'm more comfortable with the pressure not jumping around on the race track.

    BEST KIND OF OIL

    You are correct in just keeping the oil clean with a brand product. I'm looking to see how many miles I can get out of vehicles. Unfortunately one was stolen and the other was wrecked or I would have more data. I have 180K on my Windstar and 170K on my E150 van with the 4.6L engine so it will...

    BEST KIND OF OIL

    I run Mobil 1 with Mobil 1 oil filters and have been for over 20 years. Oil changes are around 8-12K depending on what it looks like and what's convenient. I have run all my engines to between 185k and 250K and have never seen an issue. On my stang with the blower, I typically change...

    Heads?

    I did ported Livernois heads with their stage 1 cams. Check the Sig andsee if thats enough power and we aren't even close to finished yet. We expect 700+. If I upgrade the blower to an SI, then expect 750 or better.

    Anyone Have This Tire? Nankang NS 2

    The best tires I have had under $150 are the Toyo's. Doesn't matter which one. I was going through 4 sets a year and went through everybody's tires. They are the only ones I will race on now after testing them to 200mph on the Dyno. They were absolutely the best balanced, best handling, most...

    shorties worth it?

    I have shorties. There is value if you are running a blower or run a higher rpm level with cams. No, it's not as much as long tubes but they definitely have value as you start pushing the horsepower up. It also allows me to stay street legal and pass emissions.

    Blower Cams!

    I have Livernois Stage 1 cams and they seem to be working great.

    Vortech V2-SQ S-trim or V1 S-trim Users come in

    I'm running an original S-Trim although I may get it upgraded once we get everything worked out. My car hit 643rwhp before running out of fuel (too small a pump) but there was still 1000 rpm's left. My SIG has all the mods although we have now added a return system, dual pumps, and an 8-rib...

    500rwhp how-to write-up w/ sq-trim

    My 2V with S-Trim and Livernois heads/cams hit 643rwhp at 6000 rpm's before the fuel pump gave up and trashed a piston. I'm guessing that it should 700 with 100 octane and 575 with 91 octane or better. I was thinking of getting the blower upgraded before I saw the numbers but now I'm going to...

    i just bought an 02 mustang gt

    It's a tough call. With a power adder, 3:73's are as high as I would go. I hit 110mph at the end of the quarter at 6000rpm's with the 3:73's. The problem was the car would pull up to 119 which put my rpm's at 6500 or so. That was when the car was about 400rwhp. Now it's over 600 so the...

    i just bought an 02 mustang gt

    My Livernois heads w/cams have added over 250+ HP with my vortech S-Trim. In fact, we haven't hit the top end yet but it's well over 650 rwhp. For $3K, it was the best bang for the buck but it needs a power adder to make it worth it. 3.73's made a huge difference in the quarter mile but my...

    NGK iridium vs platinum

    I have used Mobil One Oil Filters on every car for the last 20 years with synthetic and except for my mustang, change oil at 8K-12K miles or more. Haven't had a single issue and never had an engine issue at up to 250K miles. Those cars either got wrecked or stolen. I was hoping my Windstar...

    please help, engine skipping, running out of ideas.

    You could actually have a few problems. I'm It may take a while to work out your issues though. I"m assuming you checked your codes and eliminated what they are saying. If they don't have anything, then move on. Don't assume the problem is with the electrical system. Start with the basic...

    i just bought an 02 mustang gt

    Weird. I know stock gearing was 110 in 3rd, 135 in 4th. My 3.70's were 110 in 4th with a 6000 redline.
