    Stangnet V6 Update

Great idea.... here's my recent upgrade: Motive 3.73 gears and an Auburn limited slip differential... Rygen... I know you've seen this before, but for the benefit of others... here's a couple viddies I made the other day testing out the Auburn limited slip... my wife was holding the camera...

Another Upgrade coming / T-Lok Differential

I just had 3.73 gears and an Auburn lsd installed. Cost me just under $850 for parts, labor and an hour of dyno time to calibrate my speedo. I have yet to give the Auburn a real test though... babying it quite a bit for the first few hundred miles. Feels very solid so far. I did take a...

how long do you plan to keep your 05 or 06 S197?

I wish I still had my 68... but I was young and couldn't afford all the breakdowns. I'm not making the same mistake with this one... passin' it on to the next generation (well, if I ever have kids!)

Found a new mod for hp!!!!!

I took the false bottom out of the cup holder... I know I'll shave 0.0000001 seconds off my 1/4 mile times! It really is a good idea to reduce weight.... probably get a bit better mileage too.

    Few Questions

    Rygen... Great minds!

    Few Questions

    1. Without a reflash, I'd say the best intake is the AFE (12 hp dyno proven without a tune)... the K&N (about 7 hp) comes in second in my book. 2. Doug at Bamachips has dyno'd a 4hp/6tq increase with a pulley. It would be one of the last mods I'd consider when I'm trying to sqeeze every last...

    600 dollar budget.

I agree with Rygen...for just a bit over $600 you can get the SCT X-cal 2 and C&L intake from Doug at Bamachips... best bang for the buck outside of nitrous.. especially for a daily driver.

    S197 4.0L V6 - Top Speed ?

Hit the limiter at 115 before I had the SCT tune. Haven't bothered to go that fast since then.

Were do you guys keep your gate/garage door transmitter (keyfob)

I've got an old gararge door transmitter... about the size of a pack of cigs. It has a built-in clip... I just stick it on the window visor.

    Help A Newbie

There's quite a few CAI's out. I'm a bit biased towards my C&L, but it's been shown to be one of the best out there. Other good options are MMR, AFE or Tunable Induction. Check out this thread on the C&L: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=39240 You reflash with a handheld tuner...

    Help A Newbie

A CAI looks a little something like this...(this is my C&L intake... it requires a reflash)
