Trick Flow Heads/Cam upgrade for my 91 GT

I went the trick flow route, and i was very happy with the results. I used the track heat heads, same as twisted wedge, just better springs and hardware. I also used the track heat intake instead of the street heat. I had a pretty mild cam, otherwise the car drove ok on the street and loved...

    Problem...Please help

when putting #1 to tdc, put your finger over the spark plug hole to make sure you feel air compressing, that way your not 180 degrees off, its a simple mistake that can have you swearing up a storm when it doesn't run.

    Cheapest/Best place to get a TKO-500

replacing the synchros will hold up more, but think of those weak 10 spline input shafts, decent torque and power will snap it in two, the tko uses a 26 spline input shaft and a 31 output..i think 31, its much bigger than the factory.

    stud mount rocker adjustment

make sure the rocker your adjusting is fully closed, valve closed, meaning base circle. i had problems at first making them too tight and then too loose. the way me and my buddy did it was we made sure the other rocker in the same cylinder is open at full lift, then the other valve will be...

Line Lock won't hold my car???

do your burnout in 2nd gear, not first. it will work better and spin the tires faster and not move the car as much. i had problems with the car moving foreward at first, i had to bleed the brakes again and that seemed to help a ton.

car is taller on one side

maybe the isolater bushings are worn away on the springs, or like everyone else it could be a tweeked body.

    What would Happen?

most likely melt the pistons, pretty funny idea, me and my buddies were going to make a grenade motor with all the spare junk parts we got and dump a 250 shot into it.

I want these wheels but I have a problem

i use 15x8 draglites on the rear, i'm assuming your talking about the rear, anyways, they make a 15x8 4 bolt pattern with 5 1/2 back space. you didn't state what type or manufacturer you wanted. if your looking for welds, they got it........ok nevermind, i found the pic, i'm too tired to be on...

Battery relocation - where does the neg cable go?

just remember that if you're running efi to reconect the eec ground thats by the starter solenoid. its liike like a fuseable link sort of. the computer will not work right without it. like one of the other guys wrote, ground it in back of the car and run it to the motor, thats what i did. i...

Hey guys, i'm going to finally put in a tubular k-member and a-arms, i was wondering which brands you guys have used or have experience with. I found a QA1 kit for what seems to be a good price, it includes the k-member, a arms, coil-overs, struts and caster/camber paltes for i think around...

blown head gasket or somthing else?

i had just blown/ melted my head gasket at the last race this year, the car would barely run, although it wasn't putting out the common white smoke, the oil was full of water. n2o can be a B****, but its a blast!

    Need some suggestions

i've had a lot of success with the trick flow setup, when i bought it, they didn't have a whole top end kit. i used the track heat heads and intake and a different cam. they seem to work great of the stock bottom end and block. i also used trickflow 10:1 pistons. this past season i ported the...

    Brake canisters

i have the same canister, it seems to work ok, nothing fantastic though. i had some very small vacuum leaks that i finally found between the upper/ lower intake manifold. i bought a vac gauge and to this day the best is around 11-13 inches of vacuum, with the idle at 1000, with a 232/240...

    Timing Cover instalation+ Random questions.

i stand corrected, the factory does have a gasket between the timing cover and block, i never put it back and used silicon which to this day has been fine. sorry for the misleading info.

    Timing Cover instalation+ Random questions.

the timing cover does not have any gasket material between it and the block. i used a small bead of silicon to seal it and have never had a problem for a couple of motors. replacing the oil pan gasket would probably be a good idea if you want to spend the extra 20-30 bucks on a decent gasket...

NOS?? dry or wet kit with H/C/I ??

i would disagree i would use a wet kit, a 1/2 secong gain aon a 125 shot something was terribly wrong. i gained over a 1.1 second gain aon a 125 wet shot from a really crapy style nitrous works plate kit. dry kits have a tendency to lean out too much and if you dont have good pistons, well...

    Post your Dyno Tune Results

i agree, its worth the money to have a good dyno tune. not only does it make more power, but its more reliable and safer to your engine build. when i did some moderate engine mods, cam, heads, intake, and so on, the car ran like ****. it would idle choppy and eventually die because too much...

new clutch , problems within 2 months

sorry to hear, it sounds to me those guys didn't know whats up. its hard to say whats even wrong with your car currently. many moving parts could cause those types of noise. if the car is drivable, and they arn't going to cover the repairs, get another quote from somewhere else. as for the...
