    T5 handle my setup?

isn't the super-duty the world class that became standard in the 89's i believe. i would spend the extra money on a tremec 3550, or tko. a little notchy shifting but will take a beating for a long time.

Tranny whine? Tremec TKO..did i hurt something??

does it make the whine on acceleration or all the time, how about when its moving in neutral. it seems you still have the weak traction loc with all the mods listed this seems to be a weak link. i put 2 traction locs in mine before i went to a spool. its a track only car, i wouldn't advise...

    Header tube size?

i used to use 1 5/8 shorty headers, i then went to 1 3/4 long tubes with all the mods including big cam, heads with porting and n2o. the 1 3/4 worked really well to help get 590ftlb at the wheel. the just too some work to install them. i had the bbk ones, they did not fit well, i installed...

What size front tire for draglite 3.5s?

i use the mt sportsman front on a 15x 5 inch draglite, when i bought the tire it said it would fit 3.5-7 inch rim. i should have bought the 3.5 front, just so you know, your're probably gonna need a wheel spacer to clear a factory style caliper.

Tranny whine? Tremec TKO..did i hurt something??

i use the tko, it seems to have a natural whine to it, its possible it could be noise ringing up the driveshaft from rearend. what rearend and gears do you have? i beat the crap out of my tko and its held up greatly at the track, never once had a problem, i used mobil 1 full synthetic atf...

The best heads for my combo??

TFS heads require TFS pistons. part of the piston might need to be cut due to the valves are positioned diferently than in other brands. I used tfs track heat heads, same as twisted wedge, better springs and hardware and i loved them.

HOW DANGEROUS IS REMOVING THE BUMPER SUPPORTS?

lets be serious. I'm a paramedic for cleveland ems, i've seen my fair share of nasty, nasty wrecks. if you are going to drive this car on the street, keep the bumper supports on. they were designed to help reduce the chance of injury. that to me is enough to leave them in place. god forbid...

Which combo would win a race?

for a budget, i would go with the 306, use the stock crank, rods get new pistons, try tfs heads. i made 347hp, 354ftlb at the wheel all motor, 480/590 with a 125 shot. i have had good luck using the factory parts, despite what some people have said. the car went 12.1 all motor @114mph 1.60...
