Bought a New Challenger - Sorry Ford, Rant Included

It really isn't hard to an increase in sales from last year. What is their market share now? I'll tell you. :D What are they selling? They must be hugely profitable? Well, no. I have links (where are your links?). Chrysler posts smaller quarterly loss - Business - Autos -...

Keep it, or trade it in?

That is a 1969 Mach 1. With the power steering, three-speed automatic, power brakes, and aftermarket A/C, that is a good 3400 lbs. It had front K-H disc brakes and rear drum brakes. That is with the 100 Hp 171ci six cylinder with a three-speed manual transmission. The 1965-1966 289 ci...

Keep it, or trade it in?

I did almost the same thing. I sold a 2007 torch red GT and bought a 2010 torch red GT. I also couldn't turn down the good deal. :D There was never a 1964 1/2 Mustang. They were all built as 1965 models. Their weight was the same; the early cars had a generator while the later cars were...

Are you talking about this thing that looks like a Camaro?

Keep it, or trade it in?

IMO, a monthly payment is a poor way to look at a trade. They offered you $15.5K for your old car, and they needed what for the new car? How much interest on the new loan package? Your remaining thought process is very good. I doubt it. You will buy one soon. You should just...

Dan Williams: The Best toploader help ever.

That certainly makes sense. You use parts that you already own. On a drag strip, can you get by with using a lighter-grade gear lub? I know the toploader's heavy weight gear oil robs us of a lot of power. Do you use the big-shaft input and output shafts (big block) or the smaller shafts...

Dan is very good with toploader transmissions. :nice: But why would you put one in a Fox-body car?

Alternative to Stock 1965 Side Mirrors? (pics appreciated)

A mirror purchased from a Harley-Davidson dealer. They work well on an early Mustang. :D

How much under sticker did you pay for 2010?

I never said anyone could buy a "brand spanking new" 2010 Mustang in 2015. I was just saying that a 2010 Mustang will be cheaper in 2015. You are the one that is trying to time the market. No one knows what the economy will do by March 2010. If I had a crystal ball and could predict prices...

How much under sticker did you pay for 2010?

All new cars fall in value. If you really want to save money, you can wait until 2015 and buy one real cheap. A few guys paid sticker and over for the Shelby GT500 when it was introduced. I doubt they regret it.

any high res 2010 saleen pics?

I believe Saleen also had to restructure his operations another time previous to the recent problems. He has always seemed to me to be a great racer with good ideas but an awful businessman. Why did he waste so much company money trying to race at LeMans against some of the richest...

How much under sticker did you pay for 2010?

$4000. There were 12 2010 Mustang GTs on the lot. I knew they needed to move them.

any high res 2010 saleen pics?

Is this the Saleen being built by Steve Saleen's old company that went bankrupt, or the Saleen that Steve Saleen is building with his new company? I think they are overpriced. How much is the S281? I wouldn't buy either car. Here is another one. The 435S: 2010 Saleen 435S...
