    I have heard that the F150 trucks get first priority of V8 engines and thats why there arnt alot of GT's right now. It makes sense, Ford sells alot more V8 trucks than Mustangs.

    need some help on spending some money

    Too bad your all the way in Cali... Id sell you my 99 GT PI motor for alot less than $3000. Check some junkyard for 2002 Explorer 4.6's. These are the same as Mustang PI engines except they come with an aluminum block. Around here I can get them for about $1000 complete.

    You can ditch the EGR system, but it will trigger the Check Engine Light unless you have a chip programmed to turn it off..

    Will the 4.6 manifold fit on a 5.4 manifold?

    The 4.6 manifold will not directly bolt up. This is because the 5.4 is tall which makes the ports further apart. What people have been doing with 2V and 4V 5.4 swaps is using intake adatpers, but I havent seen a set for the 3V heads yet.

    If it were my car, long tubes would be the next mod. If you end up porting the heads, buying cams, and any of the aftermarket intakes, you be damn near the cost of a blower. Id do long tubes and save for a Kenne Belle, that way you dont have to replace the intake.

    Steeda is the only compnay that has particpate in Fords technology trnsfer program. I think Steeda has been working with 05's for alomst a year now.
