    favorite fox

What up, brother? I been so busy building just about every road in Chicago, I still haven't had time to go get another computer! On topic, I learned to make the 88's go, so I'm hugely biased. I like the 87-88 LX's, particularly hatch's, though I always hated the little overhead light, and the...

    mustang shows in midwest?

Mustang Trader magazine usually has a schedule of events, NMCA has some shows with their stuff, Here in Chicago there aren't too many Foxes at shows, all the "cool" kids drive later stuff. I don't think there is a Fox Nat show/race- we'll have to make one! Uh oh, here comes the Suzy, she ain't...

    Abandoned Highway Stack in CT

Cool thread! Being in road work, I know that stack cost about a stack of cash to build, all your money. If it isn't checked by the engineers who do that sort of thing, and often(every 6 mos to a year here in Illinois), and maintained like they don't want it crashing down on the road underneath...

whats with the tears in the engine bay on the sides by the strut towers?

:shock:Mmmm...Gonna go look at mine right now, never even look at the most obvious places. I would think brace it from underneath?

    Evapo-Rust!!

Evapo-Rust? I am currently looking into it!:nice: Keep posting stuff like this, that actually useful- my computer at the house has been down, since like Memorial Day, and when I get a chance to check out whats been up with the fella's, I find remarkably few new things on here, that weren't...

Who wants an archive of cool old 5.0 mag articles? I need your support.

Glad that one worked, Chris. It was my first, and probably, most influential article in the purchase of my first 5.0. Steve Collison:nice: There will be many more on the way, brother, once I've got a new computer. Didn't know how much I used it til it broke!

Anybody other then BBK make an offroad H-pipe? I heard of problems with them!

The ones under my Mustangs since 1988 have all said Ford Racing on them. They built the car, and as many parts as I can find. Idk if they still make, them, but maybe Craigslist or Ebay?

Who wants an archive of cool old 5.0 mag articles? I need your support.

Yup! I got many more, but on Memorial Day weekend, my computer, which was already prehistoric, bought the farm. When I get the new system, the pile of articles will be en route to posting. Chris is the man:nice:!

do you wave at other fox owners?

Yeah, even when they were my DD, my 5.0's would not be found in the city(unless it was for activities that we don't dare discuss). City cars are noted easily, by being 3 months old, having at least 1 side mirror torn off, both bumpers scuffed and/or torn, and at least 5 door dings on every side...

    New Camaro

1.My dad worked for Purolator when I was growing up, NASCAR has been ruined by the car of tomorrow, and the corporations. I don't, and won't go to their races anymore. 4 door or not, Pontiac sold 3 or 4 times as many 4 dr Grand Prix's as 2 drs- don't need to build a two door nobody buys, a...

Torn between 2 cars for my ultimate dream Mustang

Dave ain't wrong about how the PERCEPTION of the old cars is. Just because they are the old cars does most definitely not maketh the better car. It has been sold to us that these newer cars are fine, but not in the same league as the older ones. It was a battle we used to have in the 5.0's...

What part of your car do you hate working on the most?

Without doubt, wiring. There are wires everywhere, and they go nowhere, but they do something, even if they connect nothing, then nothing works cuz one wire that connects nothing isn't connected to anything wrapped around the other wires that go nowhere either, next to more wires. All while...

do you wave at other fox owners?

I moved to Indiana to get away from Chicago, where it sounds like its a lot like Long Island. I only wave at someone who cares they're in a 5.0.

    88 mustang 5.0 wiring harness

Nah, I don't mind, brother! He suffered an underhood fire incident related to the N2O system, and went through the whole shebang, I think its a 331/Paxton now, he won't trust nitrous anymore. But the harness went in smooth as silk, 89 notch. Mass Air car, but I can only assume their SD setup is...

Torn between 2 cars for my ultimate dream Mustang

Tough one. I've read that the Boss 9 was terrible front heavy, for obvious reasons, and the 9 was an incredibly finicky, hard to tune and keep tuned byatch. Therefore, the 67 would be my choice of these two. Of the oldies, I liked the 70 Mach 1 best. But I own my dream car.
