Standard roller rocker on ford crate engine?

i believe it comes with the 1.6 rockers and yes you can use the 1.7's which would increase lift and hp. you can also go with the 1.72 rockers for a little extra. all will clear but you might need to pull the baffles in the valve covers. it doesnt harm anything and some can clear without...

    Mega small underdrive pullies??

i have one on my coupe too (see sig). when we were dynoing a few months ago we had 331 to the wheels and he added that small ass pulley and a different alt. pulley, swapped the belt to bypass the smog pump and it jumped to 347 to the wheels. i was quite impressed. it is a race pulley. i...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

ok again i say congrats on the numbers, they are very respectable whether it is the 350 i think it is or the 360 you think it is. I only mentioned about the throttle body because you said you were gonna add a blower after the engine buildup. since you just spent 2 grand on the kit I didnt...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

ok i just posted on my local car site and the two common feedbacks that I get are for a standard trans car. multiply your rwhp by 1.15 . 1.2 for an auto car. this is probably the accepted standard for a dynojet, but every car is different. for your car if it is a standard it looks like 406...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

well i guess the 3 shops that i have dyno'd my car at (and all did the calculations themselves, not me) were wrong. I didn't come up with my own numbers, they always did. lol my point is only that each of the 3 shops did it the same way but that is the first time I ever heard of doing it that...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

you are absolutely right about the 15% but you take your rear wheel number, multiply by .15 and add that to your rear wheel number for your flywheel number, and i never said "it wasnt ok for your combo" I said you would make more power with a 70mm over the 75, but im not gonna argue with you on...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

actually i think that the 345 was just achieved with a 65mm, i dont necessarily think they recommend it, although I could be wrong. I might try the 65 for awhile unless you are gonna add nitrous or a blower then I would go 70 or 75.

    Used trans....yea or nah?

i bought my t5-z for 450 and it came off of a low 11 sec, blown lx hatch. it was rebuilt about 6 months before I got it and it is and has run fine since I got it. if you can find a tremec for 650 i wonder what condition it is in? thats pretty cheap. if it is ok then I would probably go...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

good numbers. 305 equates to 350.-- at the fly, not 360 but either way good numbers. as for the "keyboard racer" comment, even though I am still laughing about that comment, most anyone will tell you that unless you are forced induction (which you arent yet) or big stroker, you don't need...

    Which Setup would be better???..

honestly if that is all you have right now, your intake being ported is probably losing you torque because its too big but since you are going to build it up, i guess you are ok with that.........on to the question. as for your buildup, either kit would be a good combo. you really cant beat...

    Question on replacing door weatherstripping

I did mine in my coupe last year and a few years ago i did mine in my 89 gt. I never saw any adhesive and never used any adhesive. it NEVER came off. once you pull off the old one, just put it on inch by inch and at the end you will have some left over so you will need to cut it. there is a...

will this engine combo be dissapointing?

no problem bro, let me know how it works out for you and what combo you finally decide on and what numbers you get out of it.

will this engine combo be dissapointing?

yeah you could get 400 to the wheels on the 185's but you need to plan for a very good cam and the right intake. you might maximize power with a custom. give ed curtis a call and talk to him about your combo and what you want. if it is realistic he will tell you what to do and what he can do...

will this engine combo be dissapointing?

just saw the thing about a supercharger. if you want to supercharge instead of nitrous then you need to go low compression. like 8.5 or 9:1

will this engine combo be dissapointing?

with a 331 you should go with the 185's over the 165's IMO. compression will be good if you wanna throw some nitrous on later. my comp. is 10.2:1. I think the 1.6 rockers will get the job done, and I dont know of anyone running a big cam with 1.7's but i could be wrong. on your cam...

    my dyno #'s

over 330 fwhp with just an s-trim and an intake isnt too shabby. the other rides in your sig sound pretty sweet too!!!

    Trick Flow Stage 1 cam..

sure it will work with a 93 aod, but what other mods do you have? a cam first isnt such a good choice. if you have other mods then i would take the stage 1 over the e cam personally.

$7K for a '90 GT with 71K new paint and extras?

the only advice that I would give you, is have it checked out by a mechanic, do a carfax report on it, and sleep on it. Decide if you are ok with spending 7k on it and then if you are, dont let anyone get you down about it. we all have our own ethics and thoughts on what is too much and what...
