    I'm also wondering if this motor will make it into the fusion sport?? I know the sport was originally going to have some version of EcoBoost, but this motor would be a lot more "sporty" than the 263hp 3.7L 24V 6er it has now. AWD 305hp Fusion, I could go for that! BTW, fusion sport only...

    This is great news about the 6er, but I thought we would find out about all the engine options at the same time. Wonder when we will find out what engines will be in the GT/Boss/Shelby?

    It's probably a toss up. If you are looking for best performance for the buck, go with the cold air. If you want performance and looks, go with the shaker.

    I think it's safe to say the new 5.0L motor will be in the Mustang. I just don't know in what form (i.e. Boss, GT, etc.)

    I'll do him one better. I found out, through a pretty good source, that a company that makes motor mounts for ford is at the very least testing 5.0L motor mounts for the Mustang. :nice:

    There is a ton of speculation on this. For example, I remember reading somewhere that the 5.0L is replacing the 4.6L and 5.4L. About one month until we find out what engines will be used. I hope the new explorer looks better at SEMA also. The previous concept is FUGLY!

    Do you have a link? This makes sense compared to what Ford has been saying all along. Only thing is, they said the engines would be offered along side the current offerings, if I remember correctly. Also, I don't see all this happening very quickly, but you never know...

    He may have been talking about the rumor that the Mustang will be putting on a few pounds. The 5.0L engine alone is 150lbs heavier than the 4.6L.

    The V6 has plenty Torque: Taurus Sho - 365HP/350TQ Mustang GT - 315HP/325TQ I'm just saying... I'm sure with the right exhaust you could make just about anything sound pretty dang good. By the way, the max HP comes on about 500 RPM sooner and the max TQ about 750 RPM sooner in the SHO...

    I wonder if GPS can keep up if you are going that fast. Our GPS displays speed. That would be one way to get a close guess.
