www.edgeracingconverters.com I have one of these converters too, but my car isn't running yet so I can't tell you how well it does or doesn't work. Hopefully it will be going soon!

    The SN65 project car

I have a JL 12w7 subwoofer and a JL 500.1 mono amp. This has been the most reliable, longest lasting system I have ever had. It is also louder than when I had 2 15" Kicker comepetion subwoofers (for those of you "trying to rattle windows ten blocks away") ;) I think a 10" version of this...

    EFI benefits with Carb appearance?

Hey, this is a little off topic, but I think you guys are off topic anyway so what the hay. :nice: I saw that "carb style" throttle body and thought, "that would be cool for my setup too. Then I realized that it probably won't work for me because there would be no where to put the MAF. I...

buy a doner car or buy peices at a time for my 5.0 conversion

I bought a 90 mustang with 53k miles that was wrecked in the front, but still ran well for $1300. I sold a lot of the parts and only ended up a couple hundred in the hole. I don't think anyone mentioned how fun it is to tear a car apart when you know you don't have to put it back together.

    '69 Mustang + '99 Explorer 5.0

It being an AOD-E, it does need a computer to run it. I believe you can get a seperate controller for the AOD-E though. I forget what the controller is called, but it will also allow you to switch between performance mode or economy mode and I think it is also programable. You might even be...

    How to cut the dash?

I cut the dash in a car I had and really regreted it after I did it. I didn't really care before, it wasn't that big of a deal, but after I did it and especially when I went to sell the car I wished that I hadn't done it. I don't know how things are where you are located, but it is fairly...

    The SN65 project car

I think I read somewhere that they are pretty much stuck on using those '03 cobra wheels, although what you mentioned may be a worthy solution.

    The SN65 project car

It looks like they already have the rear tires all lined up with the flares. If they move them out with spacers they would have to redo the flares.

    AOD in a 65

Check out this thread. I found it using the "SEARCH" button, which can come in pretty handy sometimes.

    Aluminum Spacer Fabrication.. Anyone

I can laser cut stainless steel. I would need to know that third dimension though. I would need Length x width x height...Looks like you just have Lenght x width. Also how do the 2 1/4" holes need to be spaced? Email me if you have any questions... [email protected] If it's like 1/4"...

    AWD in a stang???

This is by no means meant to be a flame, but... AWD Ford Explorer w/5.0L maybe?? Also, like you say, getting the thing in there and mated together would be the hard/expensive part. I would bet (but only like 5 dollars) that they use the same front axle for the AWD explorers as they do the...

    AOD Suppliers/recommendations?

Actually, I believe the AOD shuffle as they call it is: Put car in 1 position for first, shift up to 2 position for second, pull back to 1 position to hold it in second, then shift to 3 position for 3rd and leave it there for OD. The Lentech shifts 1-2-3, then you have a button to turn the OD...

    Finally got new wheels!! backspacing???

I think the best thing to do would be to try to install them then measure how much more they need to stick out. And while you have them on there take a picture and shoot it too us! I'm interested in those wheels too! My car would require 4.5" bs on a 7" wheel and 5.5" bs on an 8" wheel to...

AOD swap where do you start.

You can use the stock shifter with an AOD. Windsor-fox sells the linkage. I have it installed on mine right now. No tunnel beating for me either.

AOD swap where do you start.

Oh yeah, and get your driveshaft shortened and use a yoke from an AOD. I'll try not to post anymore "oh yeahs".
