    the carbs a newer edelbrock (probably only 2.5 years old, actually), so hopefully its okay. we were planning on new fuel, new fuel pump and new fuel filters. any other tips? when 'priming' it, how much gas should we be using?

    the post linked earlier also recommends checkign the 'restrictor' on the intake (where the hose plugs in), because its likely worn out and no longer doing much in the way of restricting. will NPD have one of those (they have the heater cores, foam seals)? What other names might it be listed...

    Yeah, I thought we had ruled it out too. I guess we just missed a combination as we were going over them. I'll try to fine tune it a bit more this weekend and report back. So far so good, she treated me well this morning.

    You're comparing two different engines, on two different budgets with two different goals. Blown65's 347 is a hell of a motor, but not everyone can budget for such a beast. A 347 obviously can make big power, but it has a lot of disadvantages compared to the 351w and its various stroker...
