    GT or GTO?

Now were bringing up used cars:D ......my buddy just sold his mildly modified '00 Z28 for $8,900 and it would spank all 4 cars mentioned. I think eventually we'll get down to....."well a friend of a friends uncles step sister twice removed best friends godfather just sold his 5.0 for $3k and it...

    GT or GTO?

What....26k with no options? I've looked at about 40 Mustang GT's and none of them were 26k. About $28,000 is the cheapest I've seen. We could play this game all day though.....you could get a 2005 1/2 SRT4 for $21,500 and toast both the GTO and GT while getting better gas mileage and having...

    GT or GTO?

There goes the 'cheaper' argument. They proabably also limit how much boost you can run and still maintain the warranty. From what I've seen they cost over $5700 too. http://www.lmperformance.com/6265/73.html That would probably end up costing a good bit more than a stock GTO. To top it...

    Ran my wife's '00 MR2 Spyder yesterday

Ahh, I saw the car in the first link. The only thing I'm confused about is the big difference in 1/4 times compared to the other cars on the list. Why would the other people be mostly in the 13's with turbo kits.

    Ran my wife's '00 MR2 Spyder yesterday

I have no doubt that someone has run 11's with just a turbo kit, but I doubt that it is common. The 2nd link had all the fastest Mr2's listed, BUT only 3 were in the 11's and one of those had built motors. I'm not sure about the other one, it just said PFC, MWR---whatever that means. The...

    GT or GTO?

You might get it over 400hp, but will you still have a warranty?

    GT or GTO?

The GTO is more sedate, but some people actually like that  look at m3's and some of the other imports. To some, a Mustang gives off a boy racer image....not that there is anything wrong with that, but many don't like it for day to day driving.

    GT or GTO?

25k seems like a good price, all the GT's I've seen are 27-28k. Congrats on the purchase.

    110 Octane!?

I run 87 octane with no pinging....computer pulls timing automatically. I've heard of some people running 85 octane. The owners manual says run 91+ for best performace though.

Mother's Back to Black before and after

I found that back to black didn't last very long. I like forever black which is a stain....becareful not to get in on your paint though! I'm gonna tape my paint off next time so I can get right up to the edges of the trim.

Recommend a short block that will work well with Trick Flow twisted wedge Heads?

Most people say the sportsman isn't worth much or any more than a stock block. A cast crank should outlast your block.

The ultimate bench race Cobra$$$ vs. 5.0$$$

See my above replies. It would be crazy for me to pay a couple hundred more for full coverage when the insurance company would just try and total the car out if any real damage happened.

The ultimate bench race Cobra$$$ vs. 5.0$$$

full coverage was $400.....so still not much more. Still not worth it though.
