    Identifiying 4V heads

So all I would have to do is get an intake for a 4v carb and everything should just bolt on then? So I would need an intake for a 351w right.

    Driveline ??

That's what I'm thinking of doing, rightnow it looks mostly just like surface rust nothing to bad or looks like it is pitting. Just wasn't sure if it hurt anything to paint it or not. I'll probably take it to a driveline shop and get it rebalanced and put in new u-joints while it's out.

    Driveline ??

X2  I'll quess you did this and it didn't work so well. But will painting it hurt anything?

    Identifiying 4V heads

Does that mean you could run both carb combos on these heads then a 2v or 4v on the same heads? Just curious since my car has a 68 302 with 70 351w heads and a 2v carb currently that needs rebuilt.

    Driveline ??

I'm waiting for new brake lines for my 66 coupe so I decided to clean up and paint the rearend and other various stuff, The question is, would it be safe for me to remove my driveline and sand off the rust and grit and paint it or would it cause a balance problem with the driveline?

I will never be done with my car.

Well I finally finished sanding the rear end this morning. Started spraying on the paint this afternoon, have to let the paint dry now. I'll check it in the morning and see if there's any spots that need to be touched up. Waiting till I get all my new suspension parts and bolt the leaf springs...

Looks great! I was thinking of putting that same hood/grill combo on my car with the Shelby Lower valance with the bumper still installed.

2005 mustang nose on classic mustang - has it been done?

Looking better! The rear end of the car needs some sort of wheel flare or skirting now to blend in with the rest of the body kit.

    Identifiying 4V heads

would heads from a 70 model 351w have the same markings or is there a diff in 2v/4v heads for the windsor?

Do you have the grab a trak shocks or did you get kyb's ? I'm looking at a grab a trak kit but not sure if I should upgrade to the kyb shocks or not.

    Painted my 66

looks great! Now just flip the colors around and paint the car blue and the strips white and that's how I want mine to look when it's done.

That's what I'm working on right now. I have to redo the suspension for it to be safe to drive on the road, I found the bands that clamp around the leaf springs broken except for one on each side. BDT, What suspension set-up did you use on your car?

    Car Hates Gas

That sounds about right ^^^^^^^ I think the 68 or 69's had 18-20 gallon tanks.

2005 mustang nose on classic mustang - has it been done?

I'd be easier if you use a 67 and up, the 64 1/2-66 are not as wide as the later models

Glad to hear yours is running again:nice: and you can take it for a spin :nice: :nice: . I got the rear brake drums sanded/painted, the leaf spring plates and u-bolts, rear leaf spring shackles which was a P.I.A. to get off the car. The rear end is disconnected except for the e-brake cables...

I will never be done with my car.

Well, I finally have some progress on mine atleast after stripin the entire brake system out of the car. I spent this afternoon pulling the rear-end out. Sanded and repainted the leafspring plates that bolt to the axle with u-bolts, will start sanding and repainting the rearend tommorow hopefully.

    +1 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ In the end it's still a CLONE :nono: , not a SHELBY GT500:hail2:

And yet again something else to piss me off ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ your probably right though. If I can get my brakes fixed and suspension redone I will atleast drive around a few times and say the hell with worrying about the interior, paint & new exhaust.  :notnice:

1967 ford mustang gt500 in the Philippines

Yes, there may only be 2000 of them but ultimately it is not the real thing, It's only a CLONE not an original Shelby GT500. Don't get me wrong it's an awesome car... I'd love to have one.
