How to beat a PI Stang.

It is not that much of a difference, more like 5 RWHP if that. The stock NPI car( 97 Cougar ) with PI Cams and PI Intake car that Kris Danner tuned was within 5 RWHP of VicRattlehead's PI Engine swapped ThunderBird. PI Cams and PI Intake will for the most part make a NPI equal to it's PI...

The day we thought would never come!!!

These heads are considered Trick Flow's patented Twisted Wedge design. They will have either a 38 CC Combustion Chamber or 44 CC Combustion Chamber. The flow numbers have been posted upto .650 lift and can easily use a cam with .600 lift. For those that don't know, Trick Flows Twisted Wedge...

    TRICK FLOW HEAD INFO!!!

Ken has always stated that they will be over $2000.00, and that they will be priced similar to the good ported heads with quality parts. You will not find a good set of ported heads under $2000.00. It has been done, there is a 432 RWHP 5.0L Big-Bore N/A 2V 5 spd Mustang out there. That...

What did you do to your parking brake that it is no longer under warranty? How many miles are on your car? You may have voided parts of your warranty but your PB should still be covered...

Short belt to bypass power steering

It is the same as with the stock and 88.5" belts but also bypasses the pulleys beside the PS. I tried my Thunderbirds PS Bypass belt on my Mustang today which is 66" and it works as well...

    NPI Stangs in here

I don't have a NPI Mustang but I do have a 1996 Ford Thunderbird LX Sport that is N/A. The mod list: - Removed Air Silencer - Stock Airbox and Filter - 2002 Mustang GT MAF - 2004 Mustang GT Intake Tube - 75mm BBK TB - C&L Plenum - FRPP PI Intake - Port & Polished PI Portmatched NPI...

Short belt to bypass power steering

I don't know what a PS Bypass belt is worth in RWHP, but I do know it is worth .15 in the 1/4 and 1 MPH with my car. I verified that the last time it was at the track... I use the 88.5" Bypass belt.

    whats with the trap speed?

You are going to have a hard time finding a 27" Drag racing tire in a 17" Rim. If you had quite a few more mods, I would recommend a 28" M&H Drag Radial. That being the case on the DA, then I would agree with those that say something is wrong. I am only trapping 100 - 101 MPH, but am also...

Looking at a new car, what do you think

I wonder if that discolouration of the interior parts is not just the flash of the Camera. In the other interior image from a distance, the parts match in colour.

Looking at a new car, what do you think

I have always liked Mystic Cobras and if I could get my hands on one, I would. There is something with this Cobra that bugs me and I would not get it. I cannot put my hand on why I do not like this one. The little cosmetic things I could deal with easily and fairly cheap. It is something...

    whats with the trap speed?

Before you do anything, what kinds of Density Altitude( DA ) are you running at? Your car might be bang on but your DA is the reason for your low trap speed. What kind of track prep is done at your track? If the track is well prepped, get yourself a set of 275/40R17 Mickey Thompson ET...

    Trickflow TrackHeat - stock dyno

+1 on this post as I agree 100%. Remember, HP is calculated from a function of RPM and TQ. So a question you should be asking is: At the same RPM, how can an engine make more power but less TQ than another, mathematiclly it is not possible...

    STG 1 CAMS 101

I wasn't talking peak numbers. Greenbird on Modular Depot years ago, showed 2 very closely modded cars. One had VT Stg 1 N/A cams, the other was Comp 262 cams. The Comp cammed car had an 8 RWHP advantage from 1500 RPM to 6000 RPM over the VT Stg 1 car, after 6100 RPM there was 1 - 2 RWHP...

    STG 1 CAMS 101

CFM is what the measurement should be. You don't want heads that flow nearly the same intake as they do exhaust in a N/A setup. 165 CFM Intake should be 116 to 132 CFM Exhaust for it to have a good N/A head flow ratio. When I had my N/A engine built, I talked to everybody on the top 10 PI...

    High Volume Oil pump

Properly Spec'd Billet Oil pump gears are better than the stock oil pump gears. There is 0 failures of properly spec'd Billet Oil pump gears which is not the case with the stock or FRPP unit. I run the HV oil pump with properly spec'd Billet Oil pump gears. Depending on the application, the...
