RIP Joe Gosinski of Chicane Motorsports

I didn't see this posted anywhere here so I thought I would. Pardon me if this is a duplicate thread. I remember Chicane primarily because when I used to work at a paint store back in the day, a friend of mine worked with me and had an 88 GT. He would always request the routes and any...

It's like pinks with no cars...

Looks sooooooo horrible! It can't be serious.

I'm repainting my car.....Grabber blue or Orange?

I'd love the Cobra style mirrors. Not so much for the body color thing, but for the folding capability. I got used to replacing them early on when my Mom had a 96 and she kept tagging the garage wall when parking the car. My 94 had a broken one when I bought it too so after a while searching out...

I'm repainting my car.....Grabber blue or Orange?

It might look good. If he wanted to you can run a clean tape line and only do part of it body color. I just did mine body color and I like it. I'd get better pics, but it's been raining non stop (no exaggeration) since last Friday.

    Cold air paint?

Best bet would be to sandblast the pipe. Paint (of any kind) doesn't like to stick to chrome. If you can't do that, I'd suggest sanding it really well then etch priming it and painting over that. It might still peel down the road but it will have a better chance.

Paint opinions, what would you guys do here?

Do you mind if I ask why you are gonna primer the whole car? Most of the time a car does not need to be primered over the whole body. As far as what an entire paint job might entail? Here, I painted my buddy Sal's 95 over Thanksgiving break at work. It's a ton of work to do right...

    need some new headlights?

FWIW, OEM Ford lights are probably your best bet. My mom has an 02 V6 and I replaced her fogging out original lights with some DEPO ones. They fit "ok" (weatherstrip on it didn't line up as good as OEM) and they looked perfectly fine. For a week. Walking past them one day I noticed a ton of...

Exhaust (tip) options on a cat back

If you guys both have Bassani exhaust, why do they have the different tip sizes? I like the ones on your car. At least the step in the pipe is much further upstream so you really can't see it.

Exhaust (tip) options on a cat back

So it indeed is his car lol. Good ol Google. Making the world smaller each day. He has a very clean car, and lots of respect to anyone that can keep E9 from turning into a godawful pink mess. I am just not a fan of the exhaust tips ;) Yeah I am still looking around for a good set. The...

    Got my new wheels!

I'll keep that offer in mind lol. I have a friend with a house that might let me use his driveway this weekend. I got my Cobra front brakes in about a week ago from Summit so we decided to do both at the same time. Hopefully this comes through and we can spend a few hours knocking this out.

Exhaust (tip) options on a cat back

Damn. With my 275s on the back the stocker 2.5s look way too small. dual 3" tips seem to be the way to go but yeah, other than Flowmaster I haven't seen another set with 3" tips. Even then, like you said it might just be the clamped on tip. Damn. See what I mean here? The tips look tiny :(

Exhaust (tip) options on a cat back

Well I am thinking about getting rid of the stocker exhaust and getting a cat back system down the road. The problem is, well, no offense to anyone here, but I don't like the tips on most of the aftermarket sets I see out there. I think the 3.5" tips are too big looking for my tastes, and I...

I'm repainting my car.....Grabber blue or Orange?

IMO.... Orange is played out. Unless you are going with something totally out there as far as color goes, orange in the most traditional sense was an early 00's color choice. There are nice colors in the orange family, but they are harder to carry on a custom build like yours. Personally, I...

Gonna be in Anaheim, CA this Thursday...

It's a training facility we have in Anaheim. We can sometimes get approval from the higher ups to do things like this. Lots of strings attached but it's worth it to use a great place where everything works. Basically I can shoot personal, family and friend's cars there as long as I am not...

Does my mustang look like it is lowered?

I think yours looks a little lower. The rear tire gap on my car is terrible. BTW... GNX guy? A friend of mine is into turbo Buicks. Bitchin' cars!

Gonna be in Anaheim, CA this Thursday...

Sorry about it not turning into a meet. All there would have been to see was two fat dudes sanding ha ha. Long 3 days. Looooong lol. It took about 33 hours of labor in those three days to get it knocked out. Sal... get some pics up!

Does my mustang look like it is lowered?

Maybe "aged" lowered. It doesn't look too lowered to me. Maybe like a 1" drop tops? Here's mine. Stock springs and it needs a drop BAD. with the stocker 16s
