    Taurus eletric fan

I also highly reccomend using the Taurus fan also. You only want to use the one that comes with the 3.8L motor, not the 3.0L. The whole assembly fits very well. Your existing overflow bottle will work with it too. I didnt have the luxury of an installation sheet with mine so I had to just stare...

Ready to pull my hair out

Yeah, I agree with everyone else. Your computer is freaking out with the voltage drop when all the stuff....fan..lights...stereo..are running. I had the same issue. I actually am having the same problem when its cold and I take off with the a/c on. That has the compressor, electric fan and...

    Slow Leak in Cooling System

I second the thought of getting the cooling system pressure tester. I just rented one yesterday as I was trying to locate a leak as you are. Once I got it pumped up only to about 6 psi, water just started spraying. I found leaks where I was suspecting I had one but also found 2 more that I didnt...

pulls hard part throttle, power drops at WOT

I was dealing with the same problem with it flattening out after mashin down the throttle past half way. Turned out it was a tired fuel pump. Replaced it with a 155lph and it was like a different car. It pulled hard throughout the entire throttle range. I know you have a new pump ready to go in...

I second that about it being an EXCELLENT job for a home deal! I do indeed like that color blue. I saw that package with your new wheels and MAN! I am sooooo jealous! I dont know if this is something that we can discuss but I have had my eyes on those same wheels. If you dont mind me asking, how...

Finally got the bread for some upgrades!!!...Advice please.

Ahh, who needs a tuneup......lol. I did tho replace the cap and rotor when I was wrenchin on the waterneck. While I was at it I changed out my Autolites with some new 25's. Inspected all the plugs and they showed all cyl. burning normal so I was happy bout that. I think I got the tuneup covered...

Finally got the bread for some upgrades!!!...Advice please.

Good to hear about the oil pressure. It in fact does move up with rpm's and idles hot in traffic about 30psi. Cold about 60psi. I have the 3 gauge setup in my pillar with aftermarket gauges. Had an oil pump fail on me about a year ago and the factory gauge screwed me. I wanted accuracy and the...

Something everyone who street races should watch **graphic warning**

This thread is an excellent reminder to anyone that hits the streets on a Friday or Saturday night, ready for anyone that revs it up at any redlight. I wanted to pass on another situation that lead to death and jail time. In Southhaven MS a few years ago, a kid with a brand new Cobra was...

    Question about installing stereo

Just out of curiosity, what did that turn out to be? I was kinda thinking that all you had powered up on the head unit was the yellow or memory power. That would posibly give you a display but thats about it. How about a bad or no ground? Reason I'm asking is that I was having some issues with...

    oil pump replacement needed fast

Making a lot to do about not a whole lot here. Pump can be done without even taking the pan off the car and that includes replacing the sump if nesc. Not everyone has access and the tools nesc. to pull an engine especially when you live in a apartment complex or something. All that has to be...

    Replacing oil pump

Thanks fellas for the responses. Not exactly what I wanted to hear unfortunately but the honesty is well appriciated...lol. Looking at things now, also being that the engine has close to 100K miles on it, seems as tho its time to go ahead and pull it, freshen up the short block and go ahead with...

    Ac problems still

The only way to really be able to tell what is happening here is to get some gauges on the thing. Otherwise, you will be doing nothing but guessing and by adding more gas to it, you have a real possibility of overcharging the system and blowing out a seal in the compressor among other things...

    Replacing oil pump

Any of ya'll replaced the oil pump by jacking the motor in place rather than pulling it entirely out? I have a jacked up back (2 herniated disks) and can deal with an afternoon laying horizontal but dont have a chance of attempting a removal not to mention I dont have a cherry picker anyways...

    HELP! bad vibration

Had the same problem a couple years ago. Had a vibration that seemed to oscillate from the front to the back at around 70-80mph. Went thru the whole tire balancing routine also. Changed out DS to a new Motorsport alumninum one and problem solved. I suppose it could have been one or both of the...

    Front Bumper on a GT

Using a rivet gun is pretty strait forward. Open the gun all the way by separating the handles. Put the long part of the rivet into the gun so all you see sticking out is the collar and the thicker part. Insert the rivet into the material and then you'll prolly have to pull the trigger on the...

    87 stang poblems

Was the replacement switch the exact same as what you had or was it the newer one that is a bit longer? If its the newer one, the harness plug for the wipers has to be repinned cuz they tie into different places on the socket.
