    Timing help

That gash should be your timing mark. You may need to take a valve cover off to make sure it's on the right stroke. Needs to be at TDC after the intake valve closes. When you do get it to start, you have to pull the spout connector to be able to adjust the timing to 10*BTDC. Actually just...

What would you buy, looking for advice

I don't see how you could go wrong with a terminator and a few bolt on's. That's what I would do. My step dad had a mid 80's vette and it was the biggest POS ever. Leaked oil/tranny fluid no matter how many places he took it to get fixed. So I am scarred for life with vettes.

no fast idle on cold engine

I would check the ECT too. When mine went bad it started thinking the coolant was 170 when it was only 50 degrees outside. I can datalog my coolant and air temps with the tweecer that's how I knew it was bad. The big one by the thermostat is for the computer the one on the other side is for...

Ran into a 331 stroker today

Yeah man this was pretty much debunked. Killercanary just dynoed his 331 and ended up over 400hp I think and it is low compression for turbo. You can also see my sig, never been to the dyno but I figure with a 3600lb car going down the track I have to be close to those numbers too.

    New Bullitts

If you like that you should have seen my other cars in early spring. Stupid birds sit and peck at themselves in the mirrors. One bad part about living in the country. I'm going out now to give it a good washing.

    New Bullitts

Yee Haw it passed inspection. Glad I have a guy that doesn't care about the big hood, tach on the dash or gauge pods. I hate anal Pennsylvania. Now to figure out what is wrong with the power seat. Might be a little biased Husky. I was looking at a vert a few years before I bought this one...

    Should I or Should't I ?

The difference between the 2 is 25/64" 0.394". 75mm is 2.953" so a 3" hole saw would work. If you can get it to cut in the center. What is the spacer made of? How thick is it? Any decent machine shop should be able to open that hole up perfectly. I would do it for $10. Take 20 minutes at most...

    New Bullitts

I used to use BFG 275/60-15 drag radials and the Eibachs it had on it made them rub so I put stock springs back in the rear. I'm going to put the Eibach springs back in it this weekend to see if that makes it any better. Either way I'm saving for a double adjustable coil-over set on the...

    New Bullitts

Got the new wheels today. Needs to be a little lower now and the front wheels stick out a little further then I like but oh well. A big thanks to Latemodel Restoration Supply.

    let's talk stroker

The worst parts on a 302 are stock heads and intake. A bone stock 5.0 for our cars is rated at 215 hp. That is .711 hp per cubic inch. Assuming you would gain exactly that much by stroking it with the stock stuff back on the motor you would get a whooping 32HP. However if you put a new...

    let's talk stroker

Don't forget to add a new harmonic balancer and flexplate/flywheel depending on how the new kit is balanced. Sotck 5.0 are 50oz imbalance. The 327 stroker I have is a 28oz imbalance so I needed flywheel and balancer. Some kits are internally balanced to so both are needed again. I bought a...

    Good combo?

Did you ever find out what the problem was with the old motor. I know a few cylinders were down on compression. But I never heard what caused it. Are you assembling the new stroker or a shop? I was really suprised when I started my new motor the first time. I added new heads but had the same...

    New Bullitts

Just got my tracking numbers for my new wheels. Chrome Bullitt's with 315/35 out back and 275/40 on the front. I'll post some pics when they are on. Now I can start saving for the turbo kit for on it.:jaw:

94 cobra need to go faster

If I had to do it all over again I would put a turbo kit on my stock stang and go blasting. You can make enough power to split the block with a 70MM turbo 60lb/hr injectors a 75MM MAF and 255 LPH fuel pump oh and a tune/tuner.

    94-95 Mustang turbo kit

I think I might buy one of these this winter. I figure at worse the hotside and turbo go bad, then I buy a bg hotside and t76 and be done. At best the hotside lasts for a while and I upgrade to a t76 then. I have found no bad news about one of these kits other then the naysayers because...

Cleaning the gastank, what to use?

Got the new tank installed. It seems to be a little bigger then the old one. It came with new O-rings and spanner nuts for the fuel pump and sending unit. The hardest part was getting the EVAP and filler neck grommet out. I changed the fuel filter while I was at it. I feel bad for neglecting...

Cleaning the gastank, what to use?

1 little pin hole you couldn't get a pencil point through. Right where the strainer for the FP sits. The only rust spot on the tank except around the FP and float openings. On a side note that tank CJ'S has for sale is on back-order. But they did have the better version in stock, should be...
