I Need A Carb Linkage Throttle Bracket For An I6, Please Look, Need Help

You're barking up the wrong tree. The 68 (and 64-67) Mustang uses a bellcrank and pushrod throttle. The 69-73 Mustang uses a cable throttle. There are no parts in common at all between the two.

Wouldn't it be about a bazillion percent easier to just use a Granada outer tie rod end?

    Export Brace Bar

Pity. Now the car will never be straight. I have installed these on cars where I started with mis-match of an inch or more. Always got the brace on within an hour, and never drilled anything. A half inch mis-match is average, not unusual at all. Jacking and waiting doesn't work, by the way, as...

    Nonworking break warning light

The "plug" is an electrical ground switch only. The light has nothing to do with the disc brake proportioning valve, which is sealed, and cannot be adjusted. If your rear brakes are locking, the proportioning valve has gone bad, or something is wrong with the brakes themselves.

    straight stock restore or modify?

You definitely want to back to Wimbledon. As for wheels and tires, get an early Styled Steel wheel. Not really correct, but you'll get less flak than with aftermarket wheels. Here's a wheel and tire chart- Mustang Wheel and Tyre Chart

    straight stock restore or modify?

A 64/5 K code is an extremely rare bird. This means you will need to lean more to the restore side and less to the modify side. The good news is that if you show up with a clean, non-butchered 64 K code at shows, your biggest problem will be the circle of drooling fans standing around the car...

I prefer steel frame hoods, which avoid so many problems.

Turning a 1966 Coupe into a daily driver

I have never seen a failure of the 6 cylinder spindle, structurally. And I'm in a good position to see it, having regularly worked in Mustang restoration and used parts. What I have seen, frequently, is failure of the outer bearing. These go from slight rumble to catastrophic failure very...

Turning a 1966 Coupe into a daily driver

I'd use these suggestions from the above posts- I disagree with this one- The 5-bolt setup will cost you a ton of trouble and money, and the change will include higher unsprung weight, (degrading ride quality) which is one of the reasons Ford used lighter stuff on the six. Installing discs...

Broken motor mount, how difficult to replace with motor in car?

The mm in the MU link is an ordinary 2257. The ones I saw at G/N a couple weeks ago looked like a better item. I have seen a lot shall we say inferior quality mounts which didn't fit anything correctly. Might not even be MU's fault, sometimes wholesalers substitute inferior items when they get a...

    65 coupe scoop specs

Really? What are you doing that requires cutting the hood? So, your air cleaner will pop out the hood, and the cowl bulge is really just hiding the air cleaner. I turbosupercharged a 68 one time, and the intake bypass raised the carb so much the air cleaner came through the hood about 2". I...

    67 mustang power steering

Um, he said "im working on a budget", so I don't think a $1700 rack will do it for him. You can get an entire OEM system, restored and ready to install for about $950, or go with the Borgeson conversion for about the same. That's $700 less than the rack conversion. And as I said, if he uses used...

    1966 mustang 86 block

Your basic premise is wrong. You can use any distributor you like, even a stock 66 dual advance distributor, available anywhere. Since you have a roller cam engine, you would need to put a steel drive gear on it, but that's actually pretty easy to do.

    Hood hinges

Hmmm… Now you're making me want to go measure a car. 1/4" of shims would be ridiculous. But the hinges have a lot of flex, even the originals. Either attach them as they should be, or don't use them. I've never had to shim a hood hinge, they are just too flexible, and have way too much...

    65 coupe scoop specs

You are correct, Cowl Induction was a Chevy thing, not a Ford thing. This means you can lay the piece on the hood and install it any way you like. The more it overhangs the rear of the hood, the better it will work. The hard part will be arranging the air cleaner to deliver this induction to the...

source for 8" trac-lock limited slip carrier?

There were a lot of 8" Traction-Lok rears in 75-78 Mustang II V8 models. Not much help if the yards in your area don't keep old cars. Currie makes their own 4-pinion 8" Traction-Lok in high-tensile steel. No doubt stronger than many factory 9" rears.

Neutral saftey switch & reverse lights.

All you really need is this T5 harness to connect the reverse lights to your T5. I suppose you could cut into the red bypass loop and activate the NS too, but 64-73 Mustangs originally had no NS on manual transmissions.

    65 coupe cowl hood scoop

Hmmm… I'm wondering why you "need" a cowl induction scoop. As for installation, I'm not sure I've ever seen a bolt-on cowl induction (a popular feature of Chevy cars) scoop on a Mustang. Here's a few- http://www.summitracing.com/search/Part-Type/Hood-Scoops/?keyword=hood+scoop&kr=hood+scoop
