    Thanx for the response. I only have 60k miles and am not in a hurry to buy new shocks and struts. I like the B springs, but would have a hard time fronting the money for the whole enchilada. So it's springs first, and s/s later when they wear out. :flag:

    A Cobra probably would be the best choice for you. A pulley swap, intake and exhaust, a tuner, and some suspension upgrades, and you're good to go. Of course, with more money, you can take it a lot further later on. :flag:

    I wouldn't. I think the main reason people have drivability issues after washing the engine is because they used high pressure water. I've washed the engine in my car at least once a year since 2002 (as well as other vehicles) and have never had a problem. :flag:

    :nice: on the 4.10 gears, but why a speedcal? You are probably aware that a tuner is a better choice, even though it costs much more. You have a long list of good mods that will cost a lot of money, so whats an extra couple of hundred.

    Twogts4us had a good observation about this a few years ago. He said that adding 3.73s felt like the car was 500 pounds lighter, and 4.10s made the car feel like it was 1000 pounds lighter. :flag:

    Good advice above. +3 on the 4.10s, but like you said, you drive a lot of hwy miles so 3.73s might be better for you. Yes they are, and they may scrape on a lowered car like yours. But they still rock, someday they will be mine... :D :flag:

    OK, then Accufab is probably the best, and what you're looking for. I'll stick with my FRPP tb ($89) and TFS plenum ($99) for a couple of hundred less. Oh, and these were low on my mod priority list. :flag:

    +1 If money's tight, start out with the shifter. If it's still tight, then get the sfcs. Then the 4.10s. Springs last. :flag:

    +1 It seems we went through a spell where a lot of naysayers were saying "get 3.73s, 4.10s are too much". There are a few situations where 4.10s might be too much, but for the majority of enthusiasts, 4.10s are perfect.

    Curious statement. :scratch: Does the basic Fram filter have a drainback valve or not? I think the higher priced ones do.
