The car is going to the body shop of my choice. The grandson was driving the grandmother's car and hence a problem. I stated my terms. Enamel is on the car and for the most part original. My body shop will do a base coat/clear coat over the enamel fixing all things dented. ($1400) Tail...

question about grant steering wheels and turn signal switches

I guess I have to disagree. Both posts fell out and shorted out the horn. Now the horn cap keeps falling off. Not the best replacement.

    I need a hug!!

Well here's were we are!! It seems the Police do not want anything to do with anything they are not a part of. Why??? Because the city or county is so back logged on "motorist" cases. They are four months behind on simple traffic violations. They have more Officers sitting at the Court...

    I need a hug!!

His insurance will have to pay. I just had the car appraised at 11K. Police were not involved but I do have six witnesses. Funny thing is that they all were more worried about my car than about me!

I smell coolant, need pic of inside heater box

The heater core is part of your cooling system. In other words coolant is always circulating. Try a simple bypass of the core and see if the smell goes away.

    I need a hug!!

I have been working on the Mustang. Fixed all my little leaks, bad valve and upgraded to the Pertronix. The car is running "sweet". I am getting 26 mpg and have all the performance I want. So I went to the store to pick up a few things and coming home some kids decided to cross a four lane...

    Ignition Troubles

Well just try a by-pass. Just do this for a few seconds only to see if you can turn the motor. Pull the "I" wire off the starter relay and put a jumper wire between that wire and the hot off the battery. Second, use a second jumper wire between the battery and the "S" on the relay...

    Gas Filler Neck

This is good!! Believe it or not! That tank is NOT VENTED!!!!!! The vent is in the fuel cap. So when a modern fuel station nozzle seals to your tank it senses the backflow and shuts down. Grab the rubber on the nozzle and pull it back when you fill. Don't worry, be happy! Everyone...

    Ooops, Carb Help please?

Well your little carb used to have an aluminum tube that was replaced by an adapter and a rubber hose. The fuel spillage was due to your fuel pump which fills the carb bowl. It is under pressure. About 6.5 PSI. Good thing is that your pump is working!!! :D When I rebuild the carb the...

    351c or 351w?

I had a 351W built by a performance machine shop for a 69 Cougar Vert that I had. It cost about $1900. Just short of a roller cam. 10-1 pistons etc. 440 HP and a 7500 redline. Sears Point (which would not let me do it :bang: ) pulled 160 mph before they shut it down. No roll bar/cage...
