    Help build Mustang parts Search

I had a pretty good experience with www.stangsuspension.com . Ordered a set of Bilsteins from there, two were backordered and didn't ship with the rest of the order, but they resolved it pretty quickly and gave me good customer service.

Question for the younger Fox guys (22-)

I think of them as modern muscle cars. They're muscle cars that you can drive every day without a big sacrifice in comfort or reliability. Although they're very different from the original muscle cars of the 60s and 70s, they still have the power and some of the rawness that made the original...

    Steering Shafts

I have the MM shaft and would highly recommend it. It's one of the best improvements I've made to my car yet. Getting rid of the rag joint really tightens up the steering and the car feels like it handles much better since you're not constantly making steering corrections. The shaft is very high...

    High speed stability

The wheel not centering itself could be a worn out steering rack, or maybe your alignment settings are still not quite ideal. The stock range of alignment adjustment isn't that great on these cars. Even on an otherwise stock suspension a set of caster/camber plates will make a big improvement...

    Interior lights not working?

My dome light, map light, vanity mirror lights, and glovebox light in my '90 GT don't work, nor do the lighted portions of the headlight/foglight and defroster/hazard switches. The map light did work for a few days when I first bought the car but then stopped working suddenly. I've checked all...

Anyone with a Satellite radio in their Fox?

What service & reciever do you have, and how do you like it? Post pics if you've done a clean install. I'm not sure which service I wanna go with yet, but I'm thinking I could install the receiver on the 'shelf' part of the dash and hopefully have it look pretty decent. I figure the top part of...

    Who runs no wipers?

Sometimes I pull mine off in the summertime, but I keep them in the trunk in case it rains. I don't think I'd ever delete them entirely unless the car was a 100% race car.

Advise on making engine bay look better

Paint your serp. belt brackets and p/s pump light silver to match everything else, and paint the resivoir on the p/s pump black. Maybe get one of those one-piece radiator brackets that hides your radiator and gets rid of the ugly stock brackets. That would take care of a lot. You might...

    Help installing Alpine stereo guys!

A 1990 should be like a DIN-and-a-half, I believe. I think it's not quite a Double DIN, but almost. Can you clarify which plugs you mean when you say 'the set of plugs are tied up higher in the dash on the upper right side of the radio opening'? Would these be the two larger white and black...

    my car is on crack!

I had a crack in my floorpan where the driver side seat bolts to the floor on the front left corner. The previous owner tried to ghetto rig a fix by cutting big rectangular HOLE there so they could sandwitch the floorpan with washers, and then use a bolt spot welded to the lower washer and a nut...

Cheapest place to buy a Pro 5.0 Shifter?

I believe Summit & Jegs will price match.... although probably not eBay prices, unless the seller is an actual business.

Doing the dreaded heater core- couple questions

Actually, my speedo stopped working entirely a while back. How can I check the cable to see if that's the problem? If you can scan that and send it to me that would be awesome. :nice: I always like to print out a couple different writeups when doing more difficult projects, so if one article...

Doing the dreaded heater core- couple questions

So is there anything else I should replace along with the heater core? I'll probably do the rubber lines from the firewall to the engine, anything else?

Doing the dreaded heater core- couple questions

So I'm going to tackle the heater core replacement very soon and have a couple things to clarify before I get started... First, has anyone had experience with the NAPA heater cores, and are they good quality? I was going to buy one from Ford, but I read a couple threads where people had...
