    If you're going to keep that setup, at least consider getting some stuff from Home Depot and get a little creative and fab up some sort of heat shield for it. Maybe something similar to the K&N FIPK. It shouldn't be hard at all.

    Yeah, EVERY aftermarket midpipe is illegal, even if it has 9999 cats on it. Only legal midpipe is the stock h pipe in Soviet California. I think the Bassani catted x-pipe will probably pass the "sniffer" part of smog test, but will definitely fail the visual inspection once the inspector sees...

    Uh... so much for "Bassani quality workmanship":mad: I installed the bassani catback with stock h-pipe; sounded good, but not loud enough. Then drove to Bassani in Anaheim to pick up the catted X-pipe. Went home to install it... BUT, the driver side cat is hitting the frame of the car...

    Just picked up the Bassani catback straight from Bassani in Anaheim today. I installed it with my stock H-pipe. I like the sound but I want more RUMBLE, popping, gurgle, burble etc! Which CATTED mid pipe is going to achieve this?

    Bassani has a couple of versions i think. which one should i get? i thought borla was the one that rumbles and sounds mean. I like the sound of the stock mufflers a lot also, just that it's wayyyyy toooo soft and i sold the damn thing. :(

    The magnaflow is too "smooth" for my taste. I want something that RUMBLES, but doesn't drone like Flowmasters.     Use flowmaster 40's on Magnaflow catback?

    so the flowmaster and magnaflow mufflers are the same size then? The flowmaster muffler doesn't have the hanger that hooks to the rubber housing like the stock muffler and magnaflow muffler has. So i could just use the current clamps and it will be able to hold up the flowmasters, right?

    I have the magnaflow catback for a month now, but I hate the sound. Is it possible to just unbolt the two magnaflow mufflers and bolt on two flowmasters in my driveway without any welding? Also, how much louder are the 40 series and 50 series compared to the regular Maganflows? Thanks
