    not to jack the thread but is the sending unit on a 87-93 tank the same as my 84? if so when i convert to efi i will buy an aftermarket fuel gauge.

    why would you retard the stock cam? I would advance it to 14* that is where most 5.0's run best, you might be able to squeez even a little more out with more octane fuel. That is what i would do, also i vote for the cam

    My forged Speedpros didnt look anything like that, those have huge eyebrows in them compared to mine, so looks like you could run a pretty big cam with them, your best bet is to pull them out and get more pictures.

    That cam is way too big for mostly stock parts. I would call comp and tell them what you want to do, so they can recommend the proper cam for your combo, that is what i did and couldnt be happier

    it is all in the cooling system's capabilites, and the t- stat that is in there. Mine runs right at 200 with a 192 ford t-stat
