    there is a spacer that goes on top of the springs between the spring and shock tower. They make them in 1/4" and 1" thicknesses and the are usually made of polyurethane (at least now a days they may have been rubber in the past). I am wondering if somehow you have one of these spacers on one...

    It depends on what kind of pistons your running and your cam, but usually once you go to 2" valve you need to have the pistons notched. have you already purchased the rotating assembly for your motor? Many of the stroker kits come with the valves cut already, but some don't.

    honestly I think you are way overcomplicating this, it will cost you about $10 to put the PCV in and be done with it. The PCV will keep up with your spirited driving just fine.     Do you drive your classic in the winter?

    I drove mine as my daily driver for about 2 years, but now once it gets into the 40's I pretty much stop driving it, I will occasionally take it out for a ride around the block or a test drive if I have been working on something, but if its salty, icy, or snowy, it stays in the garage.
