bad lifter chatter, need some help, sorta long....

Foxfan88, if I was in your shoes I would contact Mike (Thumper) let him know what is going on and see if he can send you the right parts or if he has any recommendations. Those are some good heads set up right. Honestly with the right parts you will only need 2 tools and you can assemble them...

    H/C/I Supercharger 302 Question

Oh, stock Ford lifters? I would get a good set of link-bars or Comp 851-16 lifters. You may end up with a heavy spring with Jay's cam (mine are 205/440), and a stock lifter will fail.

    H/C/I Supercharger 302 Question

I would have Jay rework those heads, they will need it. Or sell them and get a good set of TW's or Canfields from Jay as a package deal with your cam. If you deside to keep the Patriots, don't be surprised if you end up sinking more than $500 in parts and machining to get them right. If you have...

    OIL PICKUP TUBE CLEARANCE PROBLEM

More times than not you don't want to run a H/V pump. In most cases they are not needed. If the number were taken off a reliable gauge and not the factory gauge you are good. The #'s are normal.

bad lifter chatter, need some help, sorta long....

I couldn't say for sure if it too much or too little on the pressure, I refer to cam or head experts for this area. IMO 115/300 is not alot and should be good for hydraulic. The question is: what I/H was the pressure tested at? And was it tested on a press or installed?

bad lifter chatter, need some help, sorta long....

If the I/H is too tight this will increase seat spring pressure, if the pressure is too high it can cause the lifter to not pump up (noise). Usualy on a shorter stem the I/H will be affected, the spring will be compressed more than a longer valve. I have dealt with this issue before with longer...

Just ordered Vortech s trim supercharger BIG question please help

Why chance it with 24's. 24's are commonly used on N/A combos. IMO you will need 36's or better, if it were me I would go 42's. A big injector can't hurt but a too small of an injector can.

    Throwing sparks?????

Old or new clutch? You could have something come off the pressure plate or disc. I have seen this a couple of times with broken disc springs that roll around in the bell housing and get hit by the flywheel which causes some sparks. I'm not saying this is you problem, but it could be. You...

bad lifter chatter, need some help, sorta long....

I'm on board with stem length, which makes me think of another issue. Spring install height and coil bind. If the spring was designed to run on said longer valve with an I/H of "#", installing a shorter valve is going to cause some real issues and you could be in jeopardy if breaking a spring...

    Looking for 300whp

    1. Sell that Pro-M and get one for designed for EEC and calibrated for the injector you are going to run. 2. IMO to get 300 at the wheel going with an after market 2.5 exhaust will make it easier than sticking with stock straws. 3. You don't need a power pipe. 4. You could do alot...
