Where does the emer flasher go on a 65?

There is two different ones though right? I have seen them that the harness plugs into the switch and the early ones where the switch is part of the harness, thats how mine is. Even though they look alike, I thought that there was a difference between them. I also thought that the wiring...

Wheel backspacing range for 66 coupe

I no longer have the 235 60 15 BFG TAs. Those tires should just be considered a fair radial tire. There is nothing performance about them. They have terrible traction and handling characteristics and if the road is wet, forget it. I have 215 60 15 on all 4 corners now. I found some...

    Gas Cap Leak

What mine does is when its full or close to it, it will actually slosh and spill on the bumper under hard acceleration. I too have all new filler neck and cap parts.

Wiring in a power distribution panel?

What we did when we rewired the car was to add our own separate 12v auxilary block for everything on the car that didn't originally come on it. We didn't want to cut or splice any of the new reproduction wiring harness. I think it is made by Painless. It is a small fuse block with a handful...

Fuel and temp gauge quit - suggestions

I was thinking IVR too, but if the other guages work then I'm going to say wiring issue is to blame.

    Retro vs Custom

I like the idea of having a vintage looking radio with modern features, but I'm probably not ever going to bother with either of them. They are all over priced for what you get and don't sound as good as a decent deck does. The CAS looks better, but the Retro sounds better and is a better...

Guys over 6 ft tall. Headliner and seat options?

I do wish the seat would go back one more click, but its not that bad since I'm 6ft. I have noticed that the leg room in some newer cars isn't even as good as it is in my 65. The fox body Mustangs was alright, but for some reason our 97 Cobra really seems to have less leg room. I don't...

Where does the emer flasher go on a 65?

I have an NOS dealer add on 65 flasher assembly and it looks like the 66 unit that is inside the glove box. There are some differences in wiring between 65 and 66. That is why I didn't get the 66 one. On mine the switch and wiring are an assembly. In other words there is not a connector to...

    New disc brakes

The pads are supposed to slightly drag on the rotor. After being driven the inboard pad shouldn't have any clearance between the pad and the rotor surface.

    15" tire size question again!

I'd consider a black wall tire, both BFG TA and Cooper Cobra tires are pretty darn lousy. I had BFG TA and switched to some Yokohamas and it made a tremendous improvement in even just the ride quality driving down the highway.

    Custom Hood Scoop

What I want to see for 65-66 is the 67-68 turn singal type hood. I wish someone made that, I think it would be sweet!

I wouldn't run the resonators either. The turbo mufflers are mild enough.

That color looks spectacular from what I can tell. That would be great if you could convince him not to do the stripes.

    Mechanical Fan Options

Since there doesn't seem to be a clutch fan that will fit, I'm still looking for a good electric fan setup that will fit. I may have found one. Its a SPAL fan and a thin shroud. I'll make a new thread about that later.

Good point, but I'm sure the radiator is fine. I have this Fluidyne one and its almost new. Fluidyne High Performance FHP30-64MU50 - Fluidyne Radiators - Overview - SummitRacing.com I haven't tried water wetter. I don't see how it could do much. I know people that have used it in other...
