    LOL... 5.0L isn't enough power for me.. I don't ever want to buy a Mustang that is slower than a LS1 or Mach 1. If he wrecks the car insurance will pay for it. AdamD, Unless you can afford $450 a month for payments and another $400+ a month for insurance I'd say go for a used 5 year old...

    Not when you adjust for inflation. Gas was far more expensive in the 80's http://www.nationalreview.com/moore/moore082803chart.asp Also a V6 in a 1985 Camaro got better milage than the 305 V8. A modern V8 Gets '85 V6 milage with Big block levels of power.

    It will cost a 16 year old about $5,000+ a year to insure a 2005 Mustang. My 16 brother just got quoted $2500 for insurance on a 1999 Grand Prix with 107,000mi. Insurance on any new car is going to be too much $$$ for a 16 year old. expect insurance to cost about double the car payment.

    Evo starts at $29K, Mustang GT starts at $24K. 29-24= 5 as in $5,000 On top of that Mustangs have a $3000 rebate.

    Used C5 vs. 2005 Stang should come down to what suits your needs better. 2 seats vs. 4 seats makes a big deal for a daily driver. If it is just a for-fun-car then I guess it doesn't matter. I'm saving my bottle return money for a 2007 Z51 C6 :D

    More "kids" wreck mustangs. The avg. Vette buyer is at least 10 years older than the Stang. Most Vettes are second cars, were the Mustang is the primary car for a lot more people.

    The GTR head lights/grill/bumper combo blows away the GT and V6 IMHO :hail2: Can anyone photoshop different rims on the V6? maybe that will help.

    Since when does adding Forced induction make an engine "high tech"? also... Chevrolet can get 400HP/400tq and 28mpg in a 3200lbs car. Honda can only get 240HP/167tq and 26mpg in the much lighter 2600lbs. S2000.
