    Introduction

That's a good looking 6. Welcome back. I was stangless for 4 years and had to come back to the family.

    Bang for buck. Long read

I have read countless threads on intake, tuners, gears, etc. I have a few questions. The type of driving I do is mostly city 35-45mph with a little highway 65mph. All I have is the MAC boomtubes which I know offer very little in HP/torque. When I drive during the night, the car is has...

Saw a 2010 GT in person *pics*

In 2001, I bought a 01 GT vert knowing it had 260hp when the competition had more. In 2008 I bought an 08 that had 300hp knowing the competition would have more. The GT gives an old school musclecar feel with an unmistakable exhaust note that no car can match. Some people hear high HP and...

    got my 2010 gt

Very nice car. At first I didn't think I'd like the plastic panels under the doors but I'm sure it's easier keeping them clean versus the painted ones on the 05-09's. Does it have any of the "clunk" when changing the gears like 05-09's do? The rear quarter panel and rear end look amazing...

    Exhaust

Drone was a concern for me when I was looking for an axelback. I like the sound of chambered designs, but traditionally they tend to drone. The straight through designs seemed to lack the musclecar tone. But from what I've learned with the 05+ GT's, they all sound great but all pack the...

    My 2007 Gt

I have the same wheels and like them a lot. I see a lot of the 18" fanblades and 18"bullit, but not too many of these 17"'s.

    DIY Rear Seat Delete Kit

I thought about a rear seat delete, but then again the rear seats don't seem all that heavy. Plus I would guess that if you've got an aftermarket axelback, you will get a lot of drone in the cabin

    NJ ticket blitz

There are no official ticket quotas within police agencies. If you have seen the devastation of speed involved TC's, you'll understand the need to enforce speeding. Speed limits are set to ensure proper traffic flow, safe lane changing, and safe braking (jaywalkers, a kid's ball bouncing in...

    2005 GT with 68k

With all the hard driving fellow members do on their cars, 68K isn't too bad. The 5.0's of years past still run hard. I personally would give it a mild tune up: throttle body injector service, plug change, cabin air filter/air filter/fuel filter change (if dirty), drain and fill of the man...

    pypes x-pipe/violator combo

I don't own either peice, but from what I've learned about X pipes, they scream when revved versus an H pipe that will produce bellow. The violator muffler is also a straight through design that would give similar sound characteristics that an X is known for. Raspy/fart sounding in my opinion.

    flowmaster vs. SLP mufflers

My two choices were the MAC Boomtubes and the SSS street legal exhaust (link at cruzinconcepts. Looks like a SLP powerflow copy). I don't plan to do any furthur mods and wanted the deepest/loudest tone without the raspy tone of straight pipes. Went with the boomtubes and am very happy I did...

    Do I have keyless entry?

Just go to a Ford service dept and they will program one for you. Yes all 05+'s have keyless entry.

    09 Prices

I got my 08 in Dec 08 for 19400. GT man trans, cloth int, 17's, IUP, shaker 500, spoiler delete. With only 12 miles on clock. Seems Saleen intially bought the car but decided to sell it back to my dealership. Not been modified by Saleen.

WATs the true STOCK 1/4 ET??

Stock for stock they are pretty close as the above posters stated. The seat of the pants meter might register a little more grunt from a GT because you've got a bellowing V8 in front of you versus a whining V6 (no offense to the 3.5 in your G35), and a less refined live axel versus and ind rear...

    My New Job!

Good luck with the new job. 3 years ago I used to sell Ford's. You will quickly learn tricks to all the customers who are afraid that salesman are evil guys who are looking to overcharge you. A couple bits of advice, don't hang out with the guys who complain about how slow times are or qualify...

    wheel poll

#1 if you plan on keeping the stock brake rotors. If you upgrade, then #2 will look good.

    Question

I think trac control is good to have in case you are in some rain, dirt, or even possible gravel roads. Anyway, if your exhaust needs are just for some sound, go with the Boomtubes from pacificaperformance. You can find them as low as $275 from LastCallRacing. I have listened to hundreds of...

    Tranny Question

From my past experience, auto's need a change in the trans fluid more often than manuals do. 30K is what most reputable service departments recommend. My dad has an 00 F-150 and about 180K. He did not recommend a flush, just a drain and fill even though the flush was more profitable to the...

Here a clunk, there a clunk...

Is/are your symptoms like this thread on page 2? "Clunk when letting out clutch!!" He didn't describe the issue to be at freeway speeds as you say though.

53000 miles on first set of brake pads?

Maybe. Do you downshift when coming to a stop? I do, and barely have to push the brake pedal about to come to a stop. Do you ever run 130+ and have to brake hard to slow? When driving at 45-50mph, try putting the trans in N and come to a stop using ust the brakes. It takes a lot of pressure...
