    Set the timing back to 10 degrees, and see if the car is still running hot. That will determine whether the extra 2 degrees is the source of your problem.

    Whatcha gotta do is order the '06 GT, and drive the 4.0 for now. Don't get the eleanor kit on the V6. If you really want it, wait for the GT. Then, enjoy 8 cylinders. :D

    no smog pump = hot start idle search?

    When I took my air pump off, I stuck a screw into one vacuum line, and the other vacuum line actually broke off. I took a pair of pliers, heated them up and pinched off the line since it was broken already.

    MSP - Unfortunately, I am in Minnesota. Half a country away. I have made a few mods to my V8, similar to yours. I added a CAI, o/r H pipe, FRPP 9mm wires, Accell coil, 3.27 gears, and I removed the smog pump. It would be an interesting race, however I have no idea how much power I am putting...
