    you show me a pic of one with T tops and I might consider it. My boss is trying to talk me into chopping the top. I saw it on a 64 or 65 nova and it looked cool. I just cant visualize it on a mustang. I could screw around with the idea on the spare roof frame that I have laying in the side yard.

    so I cut the roof to fit tonight. I sanded the frame and painted it to prevent any more rust issues. I flanged the skin and fit it in place. I will start to weld it on tomorrow.

    It was for an actual convertible. It was some hill billy in his back yard cutting up a car and having his girlfriend film it for him. I never seen the folding top before. I wouldn't imagine that I could keep it dry in the car with that set up here in the great north west.

    did you have to scrape all of the under coating off or did it come off with the blaster. I had to take a screwdriver and putty knife to remove all the goo off the bottom before I could strip. I also had to scrape it as I went with the sand blaster because it wouldn't take off the under coating...

    They have videos of how to paint them. I don't have the ability (or the knowledge) to post a video on the web. It is all I can do to post pics. LOL When I paint on my car I will try to take some pics of it as I go.

    I know about the seam down low but thought it would be just as easy to do it up high. I will go lower that I cut in the pics. I just wanted to get the old roof off first that way I can set the new skin on and use it as a guide. As for the rotisserie I built it. I haven't set the roof on yet...

    I started sanding the under side of my skin today and it is being a little more difficult than the top. For some reason the paint is stuck better on the bottom than the top. Even with 40 grit on a DA it is being stubborn. Hopefully I can have it all sanded and primed tomorrow after work.

    the paint store gave me cady purple and told me that I could mix it in either my paint or the clear. I thought that it would show up better in the clear than in the black.

    You are going to have alot of grinding when you go to remove those braces. It should be plenty stout though. I noticed you marked the passenger seat.

    I am going to go put a coat of candy purple on them to see if they tone down any. I dont want them to pop out so much. I wonder if pearls would do a better job of making a subtle flame. I dont have any experience with them.

    I sanded the top of the donor skin today and I found bondo. Not as bad as the original. I found a few rusted through spots at the windshield trim clips. I will try to sand the under side tomorrow to get ready to prime it.

    Another Cowl thread

    there is not much that you can do. You might be able to reach up as far as you can through the heater holes. One other thing you might be able to do is get a garden sprayer and put it through the plug holes on the side of your cowl and spray paint in as far as you can.
