Ignition Box Mounting Location. 65 Mustang

My old one was on a home made bracket in middle of the firewall. I don't think I have a pic handy right now. With a turbo under the hood I moved it here.

    C4 is slipping. Rebuild options?

Here is someone semi local for you. Paul's Street and Strip Performance AODs & C4s [email protected] 6522 51 Ave. S. Seattle, WA. 98118 206.725.0881 He knows what it take to make a C4 live. I have never priced his stuff, but he has helped me with some stuff when I built mine. He...

    Remove C4 Transmission Bell Housing

Try to make sure the pump, which is the cast iron piece behind the bell, from coming out. You may need a dead blow or rubber mallet to unstick the bell. Some people tighten the front band down to make sure nothing gets out of place. Leaving the input shaft in might help too.

    10"1 compresson+pump gas=?????

That cam does not seem that bad. I ran bigger in a street 306.

Some heads with 8 valve cover bolts would look nice and make some power. I see you update your sig. So close. You will get it.

Do I need to pull my transmission?

The vent is on top of the tail extension close to the main case. It would be tough to check it for flow, but you could verify the cap is not stuck down. Do you know where the fluid is coming out?

Do I need to pull my transmission?

What kind of cooler are you using? Do you have access to a infrared thermometer? Is one cooler line hotter than the other? It seems like an overheating problem to me. The pump controls flow to the cooler. There is a checkball to regulate it.

$4000 is a lot to me for 100 lbs. If I was racing heads up or wheel to wheel it would be worth it. If I was just going to drive it around and occassionally get on a track, I doubt I would spend $4000. It also depends on how much $4000 is to you. Some people carry more than that in their...

351w blocks are good for more than 500hp. I have only heard of 2 breaking and both were over 800fwhp according to weight/trap speed. I would not worry about the block below 700hp. I plan on testing mine to 800 or so.

    holley accelerator pump tunning?

There is a chart on this page. Holley Performance Products Different cams have different lift as well as profile like 10sec said. Changing screw holes has an affect too. There are charts that give screw hole differences too. Try google for that.

    Not Starting - carb?

Take the air cleaner off and see if the accelerator pump is working. If it is, the problem is some where else. The distributer could be 180* off too.

    setting your own alignment

My car drives great. No hands at 80mph, no problem. Two rulers, clear hose and wood blocks can make an accurate hydraulic level to get 4 pads for the tires level in the garage. 1'x1' floor tile make good shims.

    can anyone identify these heads?

Press the control button and it will allow you to roll the mouse button and zoom in or out on the screen. Zooming in on the small pic gets grainy, but you can tell the rocker adjusters are not inline. I don't know of any other heads with windsor valve covers like that.

    double pumper tuning with sbf

I don't think a 650 is a bad choice. Dual planes have better signal strength than a single plane and it does not have a big cam.

4 Wheel Disc Brakes - Power or Manual?

Manual brakes are less forgiving on bore size on the master cylinder. I tried with the one I hsd on the car, one I had on the shelf and I finally bought one the right size. If the bore is too big you will never get the line pressure to make them work. Effort on mine is higher with out a...

Blue does have it, but red has about 40% more. I am looking at ZDDP+ for future oil changes. I have been using Mobil1 diesel.

Got any video of that? I would like to see how the suspension works with that much power, front and rear.
