    Seized Oil Pump...

ARP shaft, yes. Prepped pump, yes. Primed, yes. ~35 psi cold primed. Never had access to all bearings to change out. Trying to get her back on the road asap. If the engine decides to go, then so be it, I'm planning to build a new engine very soon. All I'm getting at is I figured she would...

    Seized Oil Pump...

Never had the engine all the way out. Just jacked up enough to drop the pan and get in there a little. Cooling system, fuel lines, bellhousing, ect. never got disconnected. Like I said, she is my daily, so getting back on the tarmac is very important. I'm going to start building a new...

    Seized Oil Pump...

Given it's my DD, I'm going to go ahead and put her back together and into service. In the mean time, I've already started looking for a decent short block to start building, so I can do the swap, and rebuild this guy. I know exactly what you mean, I'm always going to be waiting (listening)...

    Seized Oil Pump...

So I did this write up over in the squeaky, but thought it would be nice to share with you guys too. Okay, so here we go. As most of you know, I suffered oil pump failure last weekend in the stang, and drove it home without any pressure, about 5 minutes, and about a mile and a half. I drove on...

    Help

Had a similar issue, it turned out to be just a weak battery. I had a newer alternator on it, but on a hot start, it would be so weak that she almost wouldn't start. I was over-thinking the problem, until I was sitting for about a half hour one day with the radio on after work, and it was...

    Suspension Custom Alignment

Nice write up! I've been playing with my alignment quite a bit after lowering my '87. (The best I can with stock CCs) I was curious on how you like the new characteristics of general/spirited driving with this new setup? Beautiful GT BTW!

Them Darn Sway Bar Bushings Did Me In.

Someone else had sway bar/oil pan clearance issues on here not too long ago. Lemme see if I can find it... Dunno where it went... Anyway, I remember from that one that if you don't space the new mounts down to the factory level, the sway bar will hit the oil pan.

    Suspension Bushing Reccomendations

Hey all, just threw in a set of Eibach springs into my '87 last weekend, and realized that pretty much every bushing, and spring insulator is shot, and was wondering what would be the best complete, front to back, urethane bushing kit to look at. I figure that I would like to replace all of...

    Rust

I don't know if they still have it, but back in the day (10-15 years ago) Eastwood sold some stuff called Coorless, or a product close to that spelling, I can't remember exactly. I used that stuff a lot on several different projects, as did my dad and my brother. It was great for future rust...

    Rust

If I was in your shoes, I would take a grinder with a cutting wheel, square up that hole in the floor while cutting back as much as needed to remove the cancer filled area, treat the inner frame rail like previously posted, and weld in a piece of new steel. I've worked on/owned 2 rust buckets...

    How Long...

I go every year just to rummage through the swap meet to see if I can find anything worth while. I'm riding up with my buddy in his Kenne Bell supercharged silver '05 that he is showing this year. It looks mostly stock, besides the retro headlights, quarter glass louvers, and exhaust tips...
