    Engine Timing Tweaks

So as it boils down, I've been trying to find that "sweet spot" for my ignition timing. Right now I have it set at about 13-14* advanced base. I have been running strictly 93 octane fuel. My main question is does the ECM need to be reset between small 1-2* timing changes? I'm getting a...

Who Still Uses Their Fox As A Dd?

DD here! I have 113K on her and I am actively looking for a different DD so I don't have to put those miles on her, and start doing some real work on her. My commute is only about 10 miles a day, but that still adds up pretty quickly.

    Borgwarner T-5 Transmission

Yup, get that gear oil out and throw some ATF in, you should not have done any damage to it in that short of time.

    Borgwarner T-5 Transmission

It's too heavy and viscous, it won't lubricate the bearings properly. Use ATF.

Can I Do 2" Springs And Still Go With 18" Saleens?

I'm just messin with ya man, I love your car and the stance it has, as I have mentioned in the past. But yeah, that is what I was getting at, just sand that cover down a little and throw a spray can of dupli-color on it and it would look so much better. Also if it were me, I would just mask...

Or go with a sleek XM hook up. I've been thinking about shaving my antenna also, as I never listen to regular radio. I have the tiny little xm antenna magnet on my roof in the middle between the hatch and roof.

    Lmr Or American Muscle

There is also a guy down in SC that has a fox mustang/capri lot also. Lemme see if I can find him. I was thinking about taking on a t-top project about 1-1/2 years ago, and a stripped shell with glass he quoted me at 500.

How Much To Fix Rust Problem?

Yup, I paid on the high side for my '87 because she is mostly rust free. Chassis and under carriage are pristine, as well as the engine bay. I do need a new hatch though b/c of scabby rust, but it is contained just to the hatch.

Let me correct myself, it looks like stock 5-lug for an 87-93 car. Yours is obviously a pre-87 fox, and those came with the 10" rotors stock. So, it would appear that someone did the larger front brake swap with the 87-93 5-lug conversion.

It's not the size of the compressor that counts, it's how you use it!:D

New To Community And The Fox Body Mustang

Welcome to the forum!:nice: As far as your brakes, it looks like a stock sized 5-lug conversion. The rotor and caliper look to be stock with an extra wheel stud, and your rear looks stock with a new axle shaft. Spindles also look stock. Probably the P.O. bought a set like this...

How Much To Fix Rust Problem?

I would pass and keep looking. Is it just surface rust, or is it through panels? From my experience, I would much rather pay the extra grand or two for a complete rust free car, or close to it. Rust is very hard to repair and contain properly.
