    problems in my 4.6 bird!

well a different guy came over this afternoon and bought the car. Since I owned it I hadnt even tried to fire it up until that first guy came over. I assumed the oil level was fine but as it turned out the second guy noticed the oil level being low, we poured some oil in it and he drove it on...

    problems in my 4.6 bird!

i'll see what I can do! the guy told me it had a dropped valve, but someone else told me its extremely hard to get one to drop a valve, that it more likely a rocker arm or maybe a cam bearing. IT definetly has a miss in it. I'll try to get a video with my camera this afternoon. thanks

hey guys I bought a 95 T-bird and the guy I bought it from told it me it had a dropped valve. Well I just bought it to resale, to make a long story short, this guy wanted to buy it, and wanted to try and start it up. The ole 4.6 cranked over and fired up. It does have a rattle in it but I was...

effects of (air) drag at speed!

what are the effects of air drag at speed for every inch of lowering on a Fox bodyed Mustang with GT front ground effects wo/foglights? I'm sure some of the faster cars can chime in on this and maybe some of the road racers that run top end races like the arizonia classic. I'm sure the lower...

same here kaOtyk. I've seen articles that show how to remove the rear part of the control arm (front springs) while leaving the strut attached, (i read this article this morning) so I may try that, tonight if it doesnt work then I'll rent a compressor from the local advance autoparts or...

    Front Coil spring install!

As you may have figured out the front struts, coil springs and brakes is not my strong points on a fox body. There with that said, I am planning on replacing my cut drag race springs with my stock springs because of my front end sitting to low. What is the best way to go about getting the STOCK...

    1.6 RR's stock Valve covers

thats because, no matter if you have 1.6's or 1.7's when you go to comp cams or anyother brand its all different. Like buying tires after putting on different rims.....they aren't all the same, no matter who says "they didnt have problems" or who says "they did have problems". Pedistal mount...

    FS #6600 ...engines out! (pics)

25th, I could have built a Pure Street Car, but those guys are running 10.30's now....and turning 8700 rpms........kinda out of my league (not in technology, but in money) if I had the funds I'd love to build a PS car. But I had to weigh the funds vs fun factory, and then choose FS. Plus the FS...

    1.6 RR's stock Valve covers

they should clear, but im not positive. Rotate your engine with valve covers loose and just sitting down on the head, if they pick up then they need more clearance.I clearanced mine with a die grinder and they clear even though my are 1.70's stud mount! good luck Ben

    Electrical Gremlins

here is another thought. on your solonoid there is about 4 wires on one side they control your power windows etc. not sure what all is on that but if those 4 wires were left unconnected or on the wrong side, or if one was used as a ground when you put it back that could cause you...

    Electrical Gremlins

sounds like you man need to take the instrument cluster out, and clean all the contacts on the back of it. As well as your turn signals, etc etc. Good luck, its not a horrible job but it all that fun either, but when you get it all back together you'll be glad. The only other thing I would do is...
