Spun a (pinion) bearing or two

I don't get it, aren't pinion bearings supposed to spin? I mean they're bearing!

I think some minor modification to SF connectors is normal to make em fit right.

Popping/Cracking sound coming from the rear....

 You put poly bushings in the 4 link? Maybe this is an internet myth, but I have read (in multiple threads) that you do NOT want poly in the 4 link, because they will bind. How's that working out for ya?

How high can the T5 go?

Gears have an effect on it too, I believe. Run high horse on sticky tires with grippy clutch PLUS stock gears, and BANG. All the more reason not to fear the gear.

    frpp 302 crate engine 345hp????

Just keep in mind that crate motor will not perform significantly differently than a well maintained original motor. In fact, you might notice a performance drop depending on how well your current motor runs (because the new one is not well broken in yet). And for the same price or less you...

Header Leak questions - search function blows goats

I've blown header gaskets 2 times. And neither time did I need to pull the headers out. Just take all the bolts out. The mid pipe will hold it roughly in place. Then slide the old gaskets out. Next put the new gasket in place and replace the bolts. Torque em to spec (or better yet get some...

    Q About Gears.

I agree with Aaron, EXCEPT if you have an automatic. Most folks here would say 3.73 on a stick and 4.10 on an slush box are essentially the same thing - in terms of aggressiveness. Meaning, if you want a noticable, but still very streetable mod, go with 3.73 gears on a t-5, or 4.10 gears for...

    cant get p/s bracket off

Take the tensioner off. To take the accessory brackets off, you have to take a bunch of stuff off. Just a little suggestion on the PS pulley. Take a good look at how it looks on there right now. Actually better yet, mark the front side or take a digital picture. It sounds easy, but there...

has anyone installed their own gears....

What exactly do you need a light weight, inch pound torque wrench for other than measuring pinion preload? Seriously, I doubt I will ever use that again. Just curious.

    shifters

Before you buy, at least take a look at the MGW shifter. Those things are tanks, feel great, short throw, and are quieter than stock. Every other shifter gets at least some complaints about noise, but I have never read a complaint about noise with an MGW shifter.

has anyone installed their own gears....

I did it myself, and that was the first real modification I did (other than cat back). So it definitely can be done. But don't kid yourself, it's involved - especially if you haven't done much wrenching. And it definitely takes more than -standard- hand tools. I suggest you read up on...
