    4:10 guys????

No reason to replace the shaft until you install 4.56 gears. The only difference is the shaft has a flat section to clear the thicker ring gear. The stock rear cover will work with all the gears. I use Royal Purple synthetic oil. But any synthetic is fine.

    Lowering opinions

I had the same results, no bolts or plates required to get my alignment correct. I also did not need a adjustable track bar. My rear end was off center at the stock ride height, now it's centered after lowering it.

    anyone else with procharger problems??!!

I would be suprised that the bearings would need to be replaced after 14,000 miles. The only way you will know is to pull it apart and check them. I have had my Procharger on my 70 Z/28 since 2000 and it still makes 16 lbs of boost. Early on, I did have belt slippage issues. That could be why...

New 09 Mustang, what should I do to it? :)

The first thing you should do it is. . . .take it to the track and get some rubber on the quarter panels! Visual changes are very subjective, do what ever you think looks good. But lowering it should be high on the list. As far as performance mods, I would add a CAI and tune and then...

Thinking About Joining The 3V World! Opinions Wanted

I bought mine new in December and have not regretted it once. The only negative thing I can say about the car is the noisy two piece driveshaft. that will be the next thing I change. From what I have read and been told, dealers order very few white cars. They are the slowest to sell. I had to...

How happy is everyone with their CAI's?

I have the JLT II with a dyno tune. I believe my car made 271 stock and 294 after the CAI on a Mustang dyno. But there was point under the peak where it picked up 41 HP. I had it on Dynojet and with no other changes, it made 306 HP.

    Guess my E.T.

Two weeks ago I had no spoiler and I ran 108.4 MPH. Last night I had my GT500 spoiler on it and it ran 107.9 MPH but there was a 15+ MPH head wind. It does sit pretty low with the H&R race springs, maybe thats the difference.

    Guess my E.T.

The reaction time was luck, I did have a .010 and a .011 though. I did a 1st gear power brake for about 5 seconds. Rev it up, dump the clutch and then put your left foot on the brake to keep the car from moving. I stayed out of the water and the tire pressure was 25PSI. I launched at 3,000...

    Guess my E.T.

    The track was much better last night except for the 15 MPH head wind. No 12's yet, need a little better 60' from my street tires or 28x10.5 slicks. :^) RT .001 60' 1.824 330 5.373 1/8 8.332 MPH 83.96 1000 10.891 1/4 13.028 MPH 107.93

Here you go. 8.1 BATTERIES All batteries must be securely mounted and may not be relocated into the driver or passenger compartments. Rear firewall of .024-inch (.6 mm) steel or .032-inch (.8 mm) aluminum (including package tray) required when battery is re-located in trunk. In lieu of...

    Clunk sound from rear?

I believe what you may be hearing is the driveshaft clunking sound that most S197's have.

    Guess my E.T.

My weather station said the density altitude was 21 feet above sea level. Great air, lousy traction but still fun. I was laying down rubber on the 3rd to 4th shift. Sounded cool but definitely an indication to the slick conditions.

    Guess my E.T.

Well, I finally got down the track tonight, but the track temp was 54 degrees and was terrible. It has rained so much that water was seeping up through the concrete. Mustangs with drag radials and ET streets could not get under a 1.9 60'. A guy with a new R/T Challenger with a temp plate hit the...

    2010 camaro 1/4mile..

A66Auto, I'm not sure I agree with you. When the 5.0 came out in 1985, I beleive they had the performance upper hand on the Camaro. Even when Chevy put the 5.7 in the Iroc, the 5.0was still quicker. I bought a new 1990 5.0 5spd and a new 1991 GTA 5.7 T/A, the 5.0 was about 2 tenths quicker. The...

4.10 gears too much for all season tires?

No problem, we were all new at one point. The gears are not physically bigger, 4.10 gears are numerically lower. This means that that if you have a 3.55 gear originally, the engine turns 3.55 revolutions to one revolution of the tires. the 4.10 gear means the engine now turns 4.10 turns to one...

4.10 gears too much for all season tires?

I would go for it if it was me. I had the stock tires on my 08 5spd for a month and it had fairly good traction. On a roll in 1st gear it would hook up but on the 1st to 2nd gear shift, it would leave 10-15 foot stripes. I installed Toyo T1R's, now I can launch fairly hard from a stop and it...

Good place to purchase 4:10 gears?

I bought my 4.10A Ford gears from the dealer. I paid $166.00.

    Lowering opinions

I installed the H&R race springs and Koni's in my 08 GT. It lowered it 1.5 in front and about 1.75 in the rear. The handling difference is night and day. However, The Race springs are very stiff. I believe Ford rates the stock springs at 175 lbs front and back and the H&R race springs are 350...

    Guess my E.T.

I used to be the VP @ Bremerton and it's only 7 miles from my house so I prefer that track over Pacific. On Friday nights you can usually get 10+ runs in if you want to hot lap. Bremerton used to be 1.5-2 tenths quicker because the track was over one foot down hill from start to finish and they...
