    sad day today

I agree about driving on dry, 5 degree days... the car feels like a beast. Unfortunately, I only have one allotted parking space in my apartment complex, so I have to trade out cars and leave the mustang parked somewhere remotely.

I still have to find a place to garage mine for the winter. Might be time to call my parents haha

    help with damaged brake line

You always have a choice. The right thing to do would have been to call a tow truck and have it towed to the shop. Don't mess around with faulty brakes because that is a good way to cause an accident.

    help with damaged brake line

I personally would only feel safe driving the car if I replaced the whole line.

Aftermarket Headunit Options for Mach 460 - Pioneer DEH vs. ???

Well, my car didn't come with the Mach system, just the basic 4 speaker w/ CD player. For me, all I had to do was get the wiring harness adapter from Crutchfield, rig it up to the new deck and directly replace the old factory deck. I think with the Mach 460, things get more complicated

Aftermarket Headunit Options for Mach 460 - Pioneer DEH vs. ???

Crutchfield says that you will need a special mounting bracket to support the rear of the head unit, but everything I read said that it was a POS. Needless to say I didn't buy it and the radio installed fine without it. FYI Advance Auto sells the special head unit ejector prongs you will...

Aftermarket Headunit Options for Mach 460 - Pioneer DEH vs. ???

Yeah. I like it for the most part, but it makes me curse every once in a while when I have to fumble to find a song or make an adjustment. It definitely made my stock (non Mach 460) speakers wake up, so from that perspective, I am very pleased. The CD tray is very handy. It's big enough to...

Aftermarket Headunit Options for Mach 460 - Pioneer DEH vs. ???

I have the DEH-P5100UB in my '98, and it definitely has its ups and downs. Pluses: Great sound quality Full iPod control Looks nice Front USB port, so you can play MP3s off thumb drives Rear USB port allows you to stick iPOD in glove box for security Better electronic shielding then the...

Shifter becomes stiff after long highway drive

It's only been on my car for a month though, and the shifter was pretty well packed with grease when I installed it

That doesn't help, but good to know

Shifter becomes stiff after long highway drive

After putting my MGW shifter on, I've noticed that the shifter starts to give increased resistance after driving on the highway for a while (over an hour). The transmission goes into gear very smoothly (no clashing whatsoever), but it just feels like I have to apply an increased amount of force...

Sounds like they're handling it for you. I've ordered stuff from them in the past with 0 issues. Good company!

    Seafoam is teh *****!

Felt like it woke my car up, but then I lost 9mpg! Car runs strong as hell but I guess it is possible I still managed to foul a plug?

    Talked off a ledge

No offense, but I wish more people would actually commit to selling things before posting them for sale. I got burned by someone like you. I drove all the way to the guy's place w/ cash in hand, did the test drive and presented his asking price in cash and he got cold feet. That's really...

2000 GT, Intake cracked today, smoke show going down the road - question.(pics)

The intake manifolds on 96-00 typically crack at the plastic coolant crossover, found on the front of the intake. I have not seen one break back at the firewall though. The revised intake, which features an aluminum coolant crossover, still has a plastic nipple for that particular coolant line...

    4.10s!!!

My highway mileage dropped from 28mpg w/ 2.73s to 22mpg right after I had the gears installed & did new brakes. After about 800miles it went back up to 26mpg, probably due to the new parts breaking in.

    4.10s!!!

For me it's more like 2700 rpms, but I still get 26mpg on straight highway runs :nice:

    Oils and filters

Valvoline 5w30 syn and Valvoline filter (that's what the shop carries) I have used the Fram X2 (aka Extended Gaurd) on my Jeep for a 7000 mile oil change and that held up well. The X2 has a beefier filter element than the Mobil 1 but will forever be tainted by the Fram name.
