    Steering problem...need help....

    I dont know what kind of tires you are using but sometimes the cheap ones the metal bands in them will break causing the car to wonder. Check the stagger (diameter) on your tires. Make sure there within and 1/4 of each other or that could cause problems.

    rearend swap?

    yes it will fit it is a direct bolt on. But the 96 is longer by like a quarter inch on each side. So you have to check the clearance for certain rims and tires. You should be okay as long as you dont run wider than an 8 inch rim.

    No the spindles arent the same. I think the 79-86 v-8s as well as 79-93 with the four cylinder have the same spindle. So those years have the same spindles. The cheapest way to go to 5 lug with your spindels is to get 83 to 90 something 4-cylinder 2wheel drive rangers rotors. Pick 85 to be safe...

    long or short

    i think long tubes sound alot better. But your floor boards will get hot. I have long tubes on my 65 and i dont have to run the heater half the time. but as far as performance it probably wouldnt give you any more performance than short tubes.

    a well built c-4 would last you a while i think ive seen it behind some pretty powerful stuff. Its a hell of alot better transmission than the aod and look at some of the stuff its behind.     Cooling Woes!--please help.......

    what kind of water pump did you get. They make a reverse flow pump for when you get rid of the smog or power steering or one of those. Im not sure which way it is supposed to spin. Also did you put the thermostat in the right way. Just the simple stuff.

    underpowered your crazy. it has just as much power as a 87-93 stock to stock. plus mines not stock and i never lost a race in my 65 to a 5.0. But im the only stang out there and anymore help would be appreciated.
