    Yeah, I called 5.0Resto about those and they are completely obsolete from Ford and no repops in the near future. That I know of, right now your only solutions are used or having the existing one repaired. I plan on taking mine to an upholstery shop when I start my interior project.

    If you are using an electric fuel pump use the brackets, harmonic balancer, water pump, AND timing cover from a serpentine (79-93) Mustang. The timing cover will need a hole to be drilled for the dipstick. The water pumps for this era are reverse rotation, and there are high-flow upgrades...

    There really is no disadvantage to running synthetic. The engine will stay cleaner internally, run cooler, and will last a lot longer-- especially if you plan on running it hard. My favorite thing, though, about synthetic is going longer between oil changes.
